About
Harvest Hunt is a single player, first-person survival horror game with a blend of rogue-lite elements, where every run is asking you to adapt in different ways in order to survive. Experience a dark folk-horror tale of a cursed village set in a suffocating atmosphere filled with dread, within the beautifully painterly rendered village of Luna Nova.
Ambrosia, the precious resource scattered around the cornfields, grows in strange ways and the hunger for it is strong. During the night, enter the cursed land of Luna Nova and harvest Ambrosia to keep your village alive. But beware, the Devourer is prowling the fields and is tainting it. In a race against the clock, turn off your lantern to sneak and hide, or fight and banish the Devourer for a bigger reward.
Tentacle creatures, poisoned waters and other dangerous calamities plague Luna Nova. But there is still hope. During the day, experience the enigmatic Whispers, a tarot-inspired system providing endless permutations of calamities but also blessings. Play multiple tense 10-15 minute runs over the course of 5 challenging harvest seasons where your abilities reset with each season and the Devourer evolves and grows stronger.
A pricey voodoo doll made of wood or a free rusty pitchfork? An ability to build hideouts in the fields or to heal you while crouched? Unlock a myriad of otherworldly weapons and abilities for your Warden and village and build your own deck to suit your needs. Will you sacrifice your own health to equip them? Choose your playstyle and survive.
An aristocrat far removed from wealth and ease, a priest left armed with his sacred verses; what led them here, and why do these ethereal Whispers haunt their every step? Embody a colorful cast of characters and explore the lives of these seemingly ordinary villagers through the eyes of a modern day Investigator plagued with the same curse and running out of time…

I want to start by saying I'm going to say somethings that might make this game not look super great but I wanted it stated, I do really like this game and I want to see it grow gain new content and see it become something great but as of now its a shell of horror game a very good shell and one that gives me hope but as of now its more akin to long paid for demo. Ill start with the pros - The atmosphere is wonderful its sets and dread and fear into you. - The sound quality is so good that sounds like someone is trying to kill you in the real world. - The art style is awesome and very fun to look at and see the details in it. Now I'm going into the stuff that isn't really as much as a con but something that needs to be tweaked better. - certain weapons are flat out useless or unhelpful like the stinkbomb which damages the monster but also forces it to chase you for 15 seconds not helpful. - the map itself is rather small and provides not real changes other then the map mutation cards which go from not changing much to making waaaayyyy harder then it should be. Cons: - way to little happening, as in in two hours youll have seen everything the game has to offer. - stupid AI, the monster AI is down right dumb, Dumber then a kid whos dad is also his uncle. - repetitive game play loop that doesn't really change at all even with card mutations. - and lastly and the biggest problem I have with this game, You must harvest this red stuff every harvest season which is around five nights and you can banish the monster to get extra points that you need to have enough of or use lose pretty normal for a roguelit but banishing the monster is kinda... pointless as you only get a small amount of points for doing it and you can get much more form just sneaking around and grabbing that red stuff ( cant remember the name of it rn) and that is much safer then fighting the monster and is basically a case of High risk little to no reward, low risk huge reward, and that really sucks and makes me not even want to interact with the monster in this game because of this Ive been really tempted to just refund the game but man I want to see this game get better so I wont.
Game deserves more attention.
Cool game, nice design and all. Worth the low price, nice job!
I have played about an hour of this game. Overall, it's pretty good. The level design is good, I love the game play and using your health to obtain power ups. IT really makes you think before coming in. This is a buy on sale or full price
If anything else, Harvest Hunt proves I would be the first to go in a horror film.
Beautiful graphics and a wonderful story! It was scary at first but I found myself being able to overcome that fear pretty quick. The gameplay loop is taking on a person every night and collecting Ambrosia. For me, it became repetitive, but I can see the appeal if someone enjoyed that rogue like aspect more!
This game took me by surprise and it was incredibly fun. The environment has elements of familiarity while also providing a lot of unknown, which builds up the tension and paranoia of your surroundings. There is a lot of value in playing as you unlock a ton of really well-written lore about many different elements of the world you find yourself in as well as cards that provide different abilities and tools to assist in your survival. You do play on the same map but so much is impacted and changes your overall experience (as well as style of play) based on new entity cards (think mutations in other games that alter certain elements of gameplay) that can appear each night (or each season i.e. 5 in-game days). The balancing in the game is incredibly well thought out and feels natural. Nothing in the games feels super artificial and purely placed in the game for balance sake but feels like it belongs and makes sense (ex. moving slower through water and corn fields). There are several impressive layers of mechanics that keep the gameplay dynamic and strategic. The game, during each in-game night, ramps up in difficulty as you can also get stronger. It feels good and continues to help build tension and paranoia so it never feels "too easy". Stealth and the ability to escape a chase feels great! Overall: I highly recommend the game (8/10) It is an impressive and fun title. Gameplay, tips, & in-depth review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgSGBdPIWSg
Покупал - думал че-то интересное, прикольное Но, как оказалось, это кривой дбд, если бы был рогаликом и синглплеерным, от лица выжившего
