Extrem immersives Gameplay!
At one point, I'd actually recommend this game. I found it to be really cool and almost meditative to play. However, For the longest time recently, I've not been able to play with my gamepad, like... over 2 years at this point I believe. Every work around has failed, and while normally this WOULDNT actually be a reason for me to leave a negative review, as Mouse and Keyboard are always an option for me, it's the complete and utter SILENCE on this matter that particularly irks me. I don't care about people whining about the heavy handed storytelling. Burn through it fast as you can if you don't like it and just play after it. But utter silence on something that actually affects how some people can *physically* play the game is... well... frankly absurd.
The fantastic gameplay, the incredible sound design, and the anti-capitalist narrative make this into one of the best games you can get on Steam. I know this isn't technically a cozygame, but its MY cozygame.
A really fun time sink that may have been better off losing more of the story. there's nothing wrong with the plot. but since it's spaced based on a scheduled finish there's no agency whatsoever. When they finally told me to do things wrong, I'd been disapointed no one had noticed I'd been on strike for about a week now. going from earning millions a shift and making a sizable dent in my debt to actively minimizing value for the company. on many days only getting exactly the amount of money I needed to tread water. sometimes destroying the entire value of a ship and earning exactly nothing. How? I threw a ship piece by piece at the planet. I threw entire sections of armor directly at nearby ships. once you realize no one was ever paying attention to what you're doing the game becomes a debt grind that suddenly gets canceled. somehow people who were ready to declare a new intergalactic slave class didn't have the balls to pull a gun on someone, hire someone else, or start using spares to make clones of one really productive guy rather than all these annoying actual people. hell, if Lynx didn't huff paint thinner they'd have made a cult, indoctrinated exactly one person. and never had to worry about keeping an HR department or management in the first place. good game regardless.
this game would be more fun if it was multiplayer until then i wouldn't buy it
