Crewman Milo Barre has started work on his first gay sex cruise. He always dreamed of working for this illustrious cruise line, but his big brother bullied him by saying he would never be slutty enough to make it. Can Milo prove him wrong and be the sluttiest cabin boy on the ship?

It kills me to leave this game a bad review, because it has so much going for it: really hot animated sex, an endearing main character who acts pretty much how I would in the same sitauation, great characters to pick to date on the crew with polyamourous options, and actualy making sex work seem like a fun job. All this is great and should make this a good game, but what totally killed this "sci-fi" game for me is the lack of sci-fi. There's barely any background or world building. A galactic treaty is mentioned. For what? What happened? How did Earth meet aliens? How does the cruise ship travel through space? What's Earth like now? There's one route where Milo talks about aliens who take away each planet's favorite thing to study their reaction. That's gold to me! So who are they? Why are they doing this? What happened on the different worlds? So much potential world building here. You have all these smoking hot aliens ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ us in crazy ways but we don't learn anything about them or their planets! I'm still getting through the game so I will update this later if I start seeing what I want.
I'm reluctantly giving this a thumbs down. i've played Alpha Hole Prison and Mister Versatile from this studio before, and those two are leaps and bounds better products than this game. I was really excited about the concept, being a sci-fi fan and I enjoyed Versivion's tentacle-ness in Mister Versatile well enough. But there's less of a story here, and the art seems a bit cruder than what I've come to expect from Y Press.
Are you sick of the 9 to 5? Tired of the rat race? Looking to switch careers to a job where you can let your Bussy do the heavy lifting? Well good news everyone, time to switch your Desk Job for a Rim Job because the Flaming Star Cruise Line has exciting new opportunities available for you! "Hardcore Cruising" is the latest adult visual novel from Y Press Games, finest peddler of Engorged Dads this side of Uranus, and is a fun and frothy latest entry to their catalogue of games. Imagine if 'The Love Boat' was directed by Ryan Murphy who got confused and thought he was making a 1970's Sex Farce in space and you've got "Hardcore Cruising". This can only be a good thing. You play as Milo Barre, a new recruit on a quest to get impaled by every sentient life form in known space in order to show off to his brother who is, by all accounts, an Ultra-Thot. To achieve this lofty and cerebral goal, he enlists as a steward on the HMS Size Queen - a Gay cruise space boat full of Local Aliens In Your Area that want to bang. Romance and Butt Stuff await in the form of his four spicy colleagues who form the dateable cast of Hardcore Cruising. Captain Taurus, the Bara Pin-Up Bull-Dad of our dreams, Harse, the rough & tough bad boy on work-release parole, Bruno the wise Bartender with a full head of consentacles and Xelleck, the sexy smurf chef who is more than meets the thigh. Interspersed with these routes is the extremely diverse cast of customers aboard this Lust Boat who Milo must also service as part of his duties. The characters on offer are nicely varied, although all men of culture will clearly be stanning Captain Taurus for clear skin. The art is of consistent quality throughout - bright, colourful and cartoony to match the fun and upbeat tone of the game. Many of the CG scenes feature smooth animation with a few static CG's scattered throughout. The music is particularly complementary to the tone of the game, feeling like a cross between Copacabana and Donna Summer. The writing and narrative is almost always played for laughs and a frivolous tone persists throughout with the odd break for character development. The irreverent tone is particularly evident in some of the Bad Ends, which sometime feel like you ended up in an episode of Twin Peaks or a Monty Python sketch. In conclusion, if you're looking for a humorous, sex-positive and light-hearted break from the usual ultra-serious, grimdark emotional torture of some LGBT visual novels, Hardcore Cruising should be the perfect palette cleanser for you.
Due to Steam's abusive and punitive rule enforcement I no longer post game reviews or screenshots to the "global community." But I cannot recommend this game because there is no CG gallery to view unlocked images and you cannot replay unlocked scenes, unsatisfactory!
A gay sex cruise visual novel needs to be, well, sexy. We have a problem here. We have several problems, in fact: 1. I've found the main character immature and annoying and most of his romantic interests one dimensional. Captain Taurus was hot but cliche, Harse was somewhat hot but a jerk. The rest were completely forgettable. The plot in general was pretty dull and repetitive, made mostly of small talk and sex scenes. There's no high replay value here unless you're looking to unlock all the sex scenes, and I did not care enough about the characters to do that. There's also no real world building here - the futuristic background is made mostly of anecdotes. 2. The game offered quite a lot sex scenes with extremely non human aliens that I did not find remotely hot. Mind you, they were not gross or disturbing exactly, just left me with a definite "not my kink" feeling. 3. What was the most problematic aspect for me was the brave effort to present futuristic sex work as a risk free, exciting, glamorous job. Since the developers live in the present where sex work is usually none of these things, they had to make tremendous effort and apply multiple futuristic inventions to make it sound believable. They mostly failed, IMO. I have no issues with sex workers in general and their inclusion in erotic video games in particular. But the decision to describe some utopian vision of the profession which is so clearly unrealistic was a bad one. Instead of inspiring or arousing, it's just sad, depressing and killed the mood.

LOVED IT!! The great thing about this game was that I found it to be lighthearted, fluffy, romantic, sexy, and funny all in one, like most of Ypress's games. Things were a bit on the shorter end for me, but I don't mind that. Sometimes you need/want a shorter VN. I even loved this game all the more, because I just got finished with like a 30-50hr dark, Japanese BL VN. So for me, Hardcore Cruising's lighthearted fluffiness? Was not only super cute and filled with warmth, but sexy and also had me laughing my A$$ off the whole time XD. I def recommend it, and I'll list some pros and cons below for anyone interested in the game that wants to know more. PROS: *9-10hr play through *Lighthearted, funny, and sex friendly *The game creates a safe space for the audience in all of its routes, while still showcasing different kinks and safe sex. Even found the bad endings fun to play through, and found myself laughing a lot at them. *Great art, it was a new style I hadn't seen in Ypress games before, but I loved it regardless. *Amazing sex animations (LOVE, LOVE, LOOOVED that they did that, I think I might prefer this in more of their games tbh) *Many different endings --if I counted correctly, 21 different total endings!! *A nice amount of ROs: 4 totally sexy aliens, ready to rock your work life beneath and on top of you (along with your clients as well)!! They are: Bruno, Harse, Taurus and Xelleck. *The MC is versatile, and his ROs are as well in my opinion. Which I loved for this game. But for the most part, I would say Bruno = Bottom, Harse = Top, Taurus = Top, and Xelleck = Bottom. At least for the majority of NSFW CGs/scenes with your MC & them in their routes. *Side NSFW sexy times with the clients aboard the cruise, which was a fun plus to get and see *The game is more sex-focused. In my opinion a pro, since it's the MCs and ROs jobs of course, and add in a splash of romance to make it even better! *Cute/Fun BG music, and BG CGs!! CONS: *No gallery, I do really like to have a place to store CGs from in the game or even BGs, but obviously not every game has that, and not a huge con for me *No backlog/history/log button that I could tell of. I typically need one, because sometimes I accidentally skip the text too quickly and then I don't really want to have to re-load a save and go back. This does bother me a bit, but certainly not a huge con for me. *The game did lag a small bit for me, more so in the end credits scene or when I changed the resolution from windowed mode to full-screen mode. So I just played it in windowed mode. Not a huge deal, I play a lot of games in windowed mode, and this mode was almost as big as the full-screen option anyways. Facts: -No VA (I know this is a CON for some people, but I'm putting this here since it falls in-between). Personally, it's a 50/50 for me sometimes with VA. Sometimes I greatly like it/want it, other times (like this time) I preferred the game without VA anyways, so this was just fine for me and not a CON. That was it, other than those few cons/facts, there was really nothing else I could think of that I disliked about this game. I definitely found it fun to play, and 100% recommend it.
Like all their games this one is amazing as well i was so excited for it to be released i bought it as soon as it came out no regrets the art is amazing i love everyone on the ship
I love the games that Y Press releases with To Trust An Incubus being one of them however this game majorly disappointed me. The way they word things and do lines for the characters is poorly done, the characters were poorly done with the main character coming off as annoying a bit, there is no relationship building with the characters, and jumps quickly from scene to scene it feels like. There is also no CG gallery so you aren't able to view the images you get in the game like you do their other games. All of the flaws this game has really caused me to lose interest in it. If they managed to do updates to make this game better then I might give it a second chance however the way it is I would not play it again and would not recommend it to anyone.
Galactic booty.
