Hard to make a romantic cartoon!

I was soooo excited to see a BL game with such intricate art on steam, I really wanted to like this, the story seems interesting and CVs are good, but the english localizaiton is a mess. It's not incomprehensible, but it's just bad enough that it affects gameplay. The characters "smirk" and "grin" "blush" at the most unfitting scenarios, I realize it's probably hard to exactly translate words or expressions that may not necessarily exist in English, which is why it's so important when localizing a game to find someone who is fluent in your target language, that way while it might not be a direct translation word-for-word, but at least it will make sense. I'm surprised they didn't translate it into Chinese or Japanese first as those two languages are probably closer to Korean in terms of words used. Anyway, hope there is a Chinese ver or the english ver gets better, but for now, it's a pass.

공략이 공략이 아님... 왜인가했더니 소설 원작이어서였군요.. 내가 뭘고르건 기본 스토리대로 갑니다. 내가 한명에게 올인해도 스토리는 세같살라인입니다. 심지어 엔딩도 세같살메인으로진행되고 뒤에 공략태내용 덧붙인거라서 스토리가 따로 놉니다.. 나는 한몸만 공략했는데 뽀뽀도 이놈저놈 다하고 이럴거면 공략 시스템이 왜 있지...?

하상우가 숨은 이야기를 풀어줄 것 같이 말하다 끝나버려 허무해졌어요.

It's a fun game and I really enjoyed the characters and story. It has gorgeous art and voice acting and the plot is similar to a lot of Korean webtoons that deal with transmigration just in a school setting; however for the price, it leaves much to be desired. It's short (6 hours total content) and the voice acting, though nice, is only in some scenes and not all characters are voiced. I understand it's a mobile port to PC but for $25 it would have been nice to have things like extra CGs or the game being fully voiced to justify that price. The translation is also.... ok. Some reviewers said it was horrible so it might be because I had my expectations low but it was understandable and wasn't as bad as some say it is, I wasn't confused on scenes and didn't go "huh???" when characters had dialogue (and there's some typos but they're not groundbreaking). One thing I didn't really like though was the fact that the overall story is the same despite what route you pick, the only difference is the romantic endings. Normally in dating sim/romance visual novels they have a "common route" and then branch off into a separate storyline that focuses on the character you're pursuing based on your choices, but in this game it doesn't do that. The game forces you to spend equal time with both love interests, regardless of which character you’re actively pursuing, and your options only matter to get a specific ending, so it feels repetitive. In the end, it's a good BL game that has its own problems so try to get it when it's on sale. Overall: PROS -beautiful art -unique story -fun characters CONS -it's a very short game -expensive for the content you're getting -only partially voiced -translation could be better/there's typos -story is repetitive, only has unique endings

Yes! i liked this visual novel bl game. Very weebtoon like and it had great story <3 to bad i could not romance the crazy bully`s! Would love to buy a route with them! ;)

Game works, you can safely buy it! Devs are very good - they were trying to solve loading problems everyday!! I'm so exited to finally play!

I bought this during a sale, fully aware of the issues with the English translation. I will admit the translation is rough, but not as bad as some of the games I have played. Overlooking that, Hard to Make a Romantic Cartoon is one of the wildest, most entertaining games I have played in a long time!

차도영(속에 들어간 천윤재) 작고 약하고 귀여운데 강단있어서 좋네요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 중간에 화난 고양이같다는 묘사 너무 귀여웠어욬ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 일러도 너무 귀엽고 예쁘고 멋지고 성우 목소리랑 연기도 넘넘 좋네요 ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 결말이 어떻게 될지 넘 궁금해서 다시 플레이하러 갑니다!
