About
You wake up gasping for air, but your lungs burn as you cough up PFC fluid. Disoriented and alone, you find yourself trapped aboard a derelict space station. But you're not truly alone—anomalous activity has consumed the station! Your only chance for survival lies in getting to HANGAR 8 and escaping this looping nightmare before it’s too late!
HANGAR 8 is a sci-fi walking simulator crossed with a spooky spot-the-difference game inspired by The Exit 8. Be on the look out for anomalies between levels 1 to 8, while using level 0 as a reference. Anomalies could be anything from something being not quite right in the environment, to deadly monsters and otherworldly entities. If you find an anomaly, turn back—otherwise you just need to keep moving forward! HANGAR 8 is all about creating a tense psychological horror atmosphere and getting you to question your sanity while collecting key items and reading lost crew logbooks in order to escape the looping nightmare!
A complete science-fiction psychological horror experience! HANGAR 8 is a complete game solo-developed with passion, that has a beginning, middle, and a single ending. While there is only one ending, there are slight differences with each playthrough, as you discover all anomalies. Any possible future updates will be FREE!
58 Anomalies To Discover, offering replay-ability for multiple escape attempts! If you spot an anomaly, it will never repeat until all fifty anomalies are found. (There is a extra mode to enable all anomalies for a greater challenge!)
Collect the 6 key items required to escape, while finding 6 optional logbooks hidden throughout the space station to read for game lore!
Interactive Objects will immerse you in this spooky spot-the-difference puzzle game. Explore the environment in order to figure out how to escape the cursed space station! You will need to look inside crates, or even turn on showers in order to verify that levels are clear of anomalies.
30 to 120+ minutes for a single play-through, depending on your perceptive skills and how lucky you get with the random anomaly selection algorithm. (Auto-save feature for if you want to take a break and continue later!)
8 Achievements to gain, one of which will test your speed running skills! HANGAR 8 has a built-in timer and an official leaderboard on for those who want to challenge me (the dev) and optimise their escape times!

Very nice anomaly game with a bit of story and lore. Congrats to the dev for his first game. I had lots of fun in my first walkthrough.
“A Short but Haunting Experience” I really enjoyed HANGAR 8 for its eerie atmosphere and unsettling sense of isolation. The looping corridors and subtle anomalies kept me on edge, and the puzzles added an extra layer of challenge. While the gameplay is short and the environment can feel repetitive at times, the tension and creepy design make it worth a try for fans of psychological horror. If you’re looking for a quick, spooky game to dive into, HANGAR 8 delivers just enough chills to keep you hooked!
I've yet to play a game made on the godot engine and this one was my first. an absolutely fun and quick horror game for those who enjoyed Exit 8. I streamed this game after talking with the developer who offered me a review copy but i had already purchased it. For a first game this is fast paced enough that it doesn't feel like a slog, the anomalies were a bit hard for me to spot but i chalk that up to my sheer incompetence. You can tell there was a lot of love put in and i appreciate the tiny details and Easter Eggs. If i had a critique id say the lore dumps felt kinda bland but they weren't bad. Enjoyed this game 9/10.
I only had to change my pants once in this game. The developer is so kind, and helped a bit during gameplay XD I still have several anomalies to find, so the replay-ability of this game is pretty high. The jumpscares are great, and it's a bit of a different take on a typical anomaly game. There is an element of continuity, which most anomaly games don't usually have between levels. For the price, you can't beat it, especially if you enjoy games like I Am On Observation Duty, and Exit 8.
This is an absolutely refreshing horror anomaly game. I love these types and recently was commenting that people would start making these games with lore and an actual story and this one has both. Thumbs up to the Dev and ill be following to see what other games they have planned for in the future!
This game is a pretty amazing anomaly loop type of game. What sets it out from most of the others is that the developer put some effort into building up a story and atmosphere beyond "you're stuck in a loop". Many times a game just starts you in an elevator or a hallway and that's it, not much of a story. Some weird person exists in the loop. In this game, you start in a room and there's logs spread around the levels that tell you more about what happened on the ship you're on. Beyond that, many anomalies have at least two steps to them. Usually if you see an anomaly, that's it. In this game, just to mention two examples: 1. A door opens, exposing a secondary hallway. As you're heading towards the thing you see, you get closed in. You find a way to escape it through a third hallway before you get out. Typically you'd see something and it'd either just vanish or kill you if you get too close. 2. A phantom ran past me. Usually if something does that in a game of this nature, it usually runs towards/after you until you either die or escape. In this it ran past me because I dodged it, but also came running back. And there's many more anomalies that do stuff like this! Because of this, you never know what to expect from anomalies since they may have multiple layers to them. VERY cool and I look forward to more stuff from this developer!
Very cool anomaly/stop-the-difference game that does a few things differently from most "8" type games. A couple of the jump scares got me, and there's even a bit of lore. Really enjoyed the sci-fi setting, and I think the graphic style works here (like a low poly Alien Isolation maybe). My only complaint was a lack of direction at the very end, but it looks like the dev has since made some improvements. Overall I'd say this one is definitely worth picking up, and it's an impressive first game from this solo dev.
Hangar 8 is one of those games that seriously messed with my head—in a good way! With 50 different anomalies to find, each playthrough throws new surprises at you, from easy-to-spot oddities to ones that really make you double-take (or quadruple-take like I did LOL). Every loop adds something fresh (ahem), and it’s super satisfying when you finally see if something is new or you were just hallucinating! The little story behind the hangar adds a nice, creepy vibe that makes the game even more immersive. For a solo dev project, this game is really impressive—there’s so much attention to detail, and it totally pays off. If you’re into spotting anomalies or just want a unique experience, Hangar 8 is a blast. Can’t wait to see what this developer comes up with next!
If looking out for anomalies (differences) is your thing, then this is for you. For a first game is very well made.
Hangar 8 is very good at creating organic moments of fear or comedy for the player. It took a moment to wrap my head around the mechanics, but from there it was a great time. Highly encourage you to give this indie dev a shot if think the game looks interesting. Full review at: www.voguehorror.com/games/game-review-hangar-8-2024
