A good litle game.
chill game
Boring, slow and the game handhold you to much.
This is a great spaghetti RPG. All the fun elements are here, with some lacking in customization. If you are a fan of Zelda type games, this one is for you (minus the climbing and flying stuff). Sort of like an Elder Scrolls Lite, you can customize your character; craft your weapon; create a town in which you must keep everyone alive and happy; and of course, complete quests. If this does play on mobile, this would be great. The negatives I've encountered are minimal. A few game mechanic bugs; the game lacks different character models, to be offered so many character spaces, and so few choices, makes me sad. The game also lacks some depth, there's not much detail put into how things are executed, everything must be preformed the way they want you to play. Overall, I'd give this game a solid 8.5/10. Are the elements are here to be a great game, and I'd say this is one. I've played less detailed games and enjoyed them just as much. Don't let this one pass you by, it's a sleeper.
🛠️ A Charming Idea Undone by Its Own Systems No Dragons, No Destiny—Just a Dwarf with a Dream and a Town That Deserves Better HammerHelm blends town‑building with light adventuring, casting you as a dwarf determined to settle above ground. It’s a lovely premise with genuine heart, but the execution doesn’t quite hold up its end of the bargain. 👍 What Still Works Building Your Town Watching your settlement take shape is satisfying, and freely moving buildings is genuinely helpful. The skies and lighting add unexpected atmosphere. But the inability to delete some structures—and the fact that only houses can be upgraded—means early decisions can lock you into long‑term frustrations. Casual-Friendly Philosophy HammerHelm clearly wants to be a calm, creative sandbox. When the systems behave, it succeeds. Reliable Autosaves Crashes happen, but the autosave system usually prevents major progress loss. 👎 What Undermines the Experience Stability & Visual Bugs Frequent crashes, odd quest behaviour, and graphical glitches steadily erode immersion. NPC Pathfinding Citizens regularly get stuck on terrain or buildings, breaking the illusion of a functioning town. Town Inventory Management Inventory fills too quickly, turning resource management into a chore rather than strategy. Combat & Enemy Variety Combat is clumsy and repetitive, with enemies that feel interchangeable and dungeons that lack variety. Shopkeeper Lock-In You can’t unassign shopkeepers or delete their buildings, making layout decisions feel like traps instead of choices. Request Overload Citizens constantly generate tasks. Even without time pressure, the sheer volume creates a low-level sense of obligation that clashes with the game’s intended serenity. 🧙♂️ Final Thoughts HammerHelm has heart, charm, and a genuinely appealing concept—but too many of its systems work against the experience it wants to deliver. I enjoyed the idea far more than the reality, and the friction eventually outweighed the fun. Not recommended.
