Really good game with a really grindy late game.
Halls of Torment feels like the closest thing we have to a Dungeon Crawler Carl game right now. Essentially a Diablo-skinned Vampire Survivors, it’s a nonstop Skinner box of violence and numbers, constant achievement unlocks and level-ups, paired with satisfying metas and character building for gameplay that (stripped bare) is essentially a bullet hell with autoattack. And despite that, I like it more than some other Diablo-esque action RPGs, which are essentially the same thing but with active abilities and %-based lootmaxing. You pick a hero archetype and descend into an endless themed dungeon. Your goal is to survive 30 minutes and defeat the final boss. Enemies come at you nonstop and become an uncountable horde as the timer ticks down. At countdown milestones, bosses and minibosses spawn in and pursue you until dead. There’s a miniquest the first time you go to each floor and other than OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE your only other direction is markers that point toward power-ups. Your only ability to interact with the world is through moving and attacking. Everything else comes from leveling up your character by collecting loot from dead enemies. This is doubly interesting because it means that killing enemies isn’t enough; you need to go stand where they were (which is typically under the horde coming at you) AND ALSO the level-ups have a surprising amount of depth because certain upgrades only appear on certain level-ups. Even at high levels the level-ups come often enough to always be satisfying, especially the powerup that collects all the money currently on the ground throughout the entire dungeon. Between missions, there are meta unlocks like starting with equipment, potions, permanent upgrades for all heroes, permanent upgrades for specific heroes, and level-specific unlocks. It all works, and it reinforces that Halls of Torment is just a well-made, well-optimized horde killer game. It’s fun for a few hours and worth the price of admission, though by your 10th run you might start to notice that it wears thin. That said did stick it out to the end and the final character unlock post-credits feels like a genuine encore performance. Well played.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
