Hacknet is an immersive, terminal-based hacking simulator for PC. Dive down a rabbit hoIe as you follow the instructions of a recently deceased hacker, whose death may not have been the accident the media reports.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is amazing and really engaging. I ended up completing the entire game, including the Labyrinth DLC, in under two days. The concept is very creative, the puzzles are well-designed, and I really dig the overall aesthetic. Now, on to the bad stuff: 1. The UI and graphics feel slightly broken. Depending on the font size you choose in the settings, text can overflow or end up with incorrect alignment and padding. Fullscreen mode also sometimes feels unreliable, and the lack of borderless mode doesn’t help. 2. I’m not a fan of the secondary terminal that launches alongside the game. I’m not sure whether it’s a technical limitation or a design choice, but either way it feels out of place and a bit unprofessional, and it also interferes with Alt+Tab. 3. There’s no SFX volume slider—you can only adjust the music volume. 4. As the game progresses and you discover more nodes, it becomes quite difficult to keep track of what’s what, even after unlocking that one program in the DLC that helps organize the node layout. A better navigation system (or something as simple as querying for already discovered nodes by name) would go a long way. Overall, the base game and its DLC are definitely worth picking up, and I hope Matt releases a new DLC or a sequel soon.
The best game of history
it was on/off for me not going to lie. but from the time i did spend playing it -- it is a really wonderful game, with some pretty intense points in both its storytelling and gameplay overall a very enjoyable experience (especially it's labyrinths expansion)
very nice
Such an incredible game! Hacknet is the medium-high tension Hollywood hacker sim that I wanted when I first played Introversion's Uplink, but this time with an engaging (and heartfelt!) story. Emulating real Unix terminal syntax interspersed with spicy blackbox command-line executables, the game immerses players in the world of characters they barely interact with outside of emails
or the occasional counter-hack
. And yet, digging into the notes and logs and data found on servers and mainframes here and there, we get to see more facets of these anonymous (and sometimes strange) people's lives, even if their stories never achieve full clarity. Hacknet was clearly made with a goal in mind, a narrative vision, and a lot of love. I can't wait to get started with its DLC, Labyrinths. I can see myself coming back to this gem time and time again.
