Hacknet is an immersive, terminal-based hacking simulator for PC. Dive down a rabbit hoIe as you follow the instructions of a recently deceased hacker, whose death may not have been the accident the media reports.

Reviews
Hacknet is one of those games that really pulls you in with its atmosphere and style. The core gameplay is solid and feels great—there’s a real sense of pressure while you’re navigating systems, cracking passwords, and racing against time. It does a great job of making you feel like you’re actually “in” the terminal, and that immersion is a big part of why it works so well. The music fits perfectly. It’s not over the top, but it builds tension in just the right moments and keeps you focused. Combined with the pacing, it really enhances that feeling of urgency and keeps you engaged. Overall, after playing for a longer stretch, the tasks can start to feel a bit repetitive. You’ll notice similar patterns in missions, which can take away some of the excitement over time. Still, it doesn’t completely ruin the experience—it just makes it better enjoyed in shorter sessions. Overall, Hacknet is a really good game that I keep coming back to every now and then. Even with some repetition, the atmosphere, music, and gameplay loop make it worth revisiting. <3

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun game

A very fun hacking terminal game
