i know the devs suck and are begging for money from their "free" game, but im noit gonna lie this game is awesome. i got this game on sale for 2 bucks i think and its worth it. decent map bulding, fun gunplay, and best of all EIGHT PLAYUER SPLITSCREEN. the only other game ik with 8p splitscreen is screencheat and even though your screen is gonna be like 1 inch big its so fun haha. anyway gunscape remaster WHEN???
Yet another game that built its premise on community-made content and devs quickly abandoned it after they tried to make money from it.
To be fair. kinda boring of a game.
cant believe they would turn a free game into a 20$ scam
Детство (ಥ﹏ಥ)
(game complete, level built and published at 2 hours of gameplay at review, part of my review all my games effort) (short version) An early doom type game that does so many things right. The campaign is enjoyable (I didn't look at the clock once) the music is immersive, the level builder is very easy. The only draw back is $20 is a bit expensive. I absolutely recommend this game. (long version) I read the reviews for this game 1 hour in, and was shocked to see "abandonware" and "cost $0.15 to place a block". None of that is true from what I saw, maps are still being made, maps are still available, and it cost $0.00 to build a level start to finish. I don't know if I got this on humble or during a Christmas code give away so I may have gotten it for free but I don't remember (full transparency). The good: If you like shooters you'll probally like this. An old school doom shooter type of game that didn't get boring the whole 1.5 hours I took to clear the campaign. The music kept me interested, the guns were fun, in parts it was challenging, others a bit easy. The level builder was intuitive and easy to use, if you've played minecraft you can build a level in Gunscape. There are frequent achievements which some people really like and the community levels look interesting (I haven't played any yet, feel free to down vote the one I made if you want the down vote achievement). The bad: I really don't have a lot to say on the bad. I've read that community maps are laggy but I haven't tested them. The final boss in the campaign is a bit of a hassle, but can be beat with persistence. The only negatives I'd give are: There isn't really a player-base, which is unfortunate, and $20 is about $5 too much. If this is on sale, and you want to have some fun with it I'd recommend buying it then. I have no doubt some of the negative reviews posted are true. Perhaps earlier in this games history there were more issues. Right now though, as of Dec 2025 I can't see anything that matches up to some of the severe reviews out there.
I like what this is trying to do but the switch from free to paid or just the time passing since that point has left the game in a totally broken state. lots of content behind a non functional paywall and the one way ticket solution of contacting steam support to remove the game from your library just for the opportunity of spending 20 dollars to maybe? get the missing content? nah. props on the accessible editor facilitating the creation and sharing of maps with other players, this alone almost guarantees an infinite lifespan for the game, i just cant recommend it until they fix it.
I played this game when I had my very first laptop and it was pretty interesting
muito bom esse jogo recomendo !!!
