You'll never guess what you do in this game
Warning: Asset Flip! "Gun vs. Zombies" is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips/kitbashes infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
Not to be confused with the popular browser/mobile game "Guns Vs Zombies", the developer here both stole someone else's game idea, their registered trademark, they also stole a bunch of stock game assets and put their own name on it... plagiarism, trademark infringement AND copyright infringement. This is disgusting and it's alarming that Valve permits this kind of borderline illegal moral bankruptcy on Steam. The accusation of asset plagiarism is a serious one, so the proof is to show the stolen assets from the Top Down Character Set - 10 Zombies asset pack which was not created by Ion, but rather a real developer, Zuhria. So, "Gun vs. Zombies" is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". There is no price tag, but you get what you pay for. When developers can't do their job properly and instead plagiarise the work of others, usually they also lack the technical skills to handle coding, optimization, or game design, or any of the other things real, competent game developers do. "Gun vs. Zombies" is proof of that. Asset flips never result in a high quality experience for gamers. While I couldn't find this on the mobile app stores, everything about it looks and feels like it's a mobile app designed for mobile phones... for PC gaming enthusiasts, it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. A peak of 2 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game.
Warning: Review Manipulation! This product features a small number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the product launched on Steam, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Due to the 2024 FTC ruling, these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law (16 CFR § 465.2, 15 U.S.C. § 45)
This "free" game won't count toward your game collection count on your profile. With that in mind, is it something you should still download? Not on a bet. This might be "free", but I still feel like I got ripped off almost as much as Zuhria. Finally, I write these reviews to try help people navigate the thousands of games on Steam so they don't waste time on low quality products. There's over 140,000 games on Steam... Steam Direct is allowing an influx of around 40-50 new games every day!. If you think I'm wrong about this one, go ahead and add it to your library, download it, install it, play it and see for yourself. Maybe you'll come to agree with me after wasting your time. Either way, consider writing your own reviews too. I'm just glad if my review helps give gamers enough info to make a better informed choice, and maybe understand why it's important to warn gamers about unethical developers like this. They harm all of us through their unethical actions.

Забавная игра, поначалу было сложно играть, но потом освоился. It's a funny game, it was difficult to play at first, but then I got used to it. https://youtu.be/yGy-CbHthoc https://youtube.com/shorts/lj8ykZXA-PU
