I hate the titties.

After over a year of being overly obsessed with Xrd with approximately 100 hours (Steam is inaccurate with Hours on Record/HoR) and owning a physical copy of Xrd REV 1 gon PS4 that I've played for a similar amount of time. I think it's time for me to make my honest review. I do believe Xrd Rev 2 is better than Strive, wait why should you believe someone that's never actually played Strive? Well just listen; Strive removed the ability to do Instant Kills (IKs) which was very core within Guilty Gear starting from the first Guilty Gear installment. Removing IKs feel out of place and this is the last game released where you can IK. I get that they can be hard to learn for newcomers and beginners to IK (it took me a month and a half to do Jack-O's IK) but I do believe that every game especially fighting games should challenge us and put us to practice to improvement. The shaders also blend in much better with the backgrounds in Xrd than in Strive, so Xrd looks more polished and elegant than Strive and gives the feel of a early to mid 2010's anime game, to which it is. Xrd also feels more "metal" based with the theming and health bars, something that Strive dimmed down and simplified. Remember, Guilty Gear is extremely metal music based especially on bands like Iron Maiden, Megadeath, Helloween, Guns N' Roses, and more, as Daisuke is a huge metal head and this is technically his passion project. Strive doesn't capture much of that feeling than as Xrd nor as passionate, so if you want something more "metal" I'd say to go for Xrd or Accent Core. Xrd for more recent. My only downside with XRD is online play and matchmaking, since Strive is very active and most people moved on to Strive or would rather start with Strive as it's the recent installment. It can be incredibly hard to host an online room, join a room, or match up with others 1v1. You'd mainly have to search up Discord matchmaking servers or get incredibly lucky. This also goes to Accent Core as well. Plus no Testament or A.B.A, so technically two downsides. I pretty much refuse to touch Strive for so many more reasons (especially for changing up my main Jack-0' as well) but these are the most prevalent.

Nah man, juegazo. Es aún más frenético que XX, es pionero en su estilo visual sin sacrificar la fluidez del gameplay, los personajes están aún más refinados y el Dragon Install es GOD, los destroyed sacan partido de los gráficos 3D, el soundtrack es buenísimo, tiene un gran roster, el que la historia se cuenta del todo a través de cinemáticas me parece un paso acertado, ya que daba pereza jugar con todos los personajes para completar el 100%, además de que había que discernir que rutas eran canon y cuales no, el online está algo muerto pero tiene rollback netcode, reproductor de repeticiones y es bien friendly con PCs de bajos recursos.
