I'm doing my part to support the game developers. The game has bugs, is clunky and needs polishing but the core idea is entertaining. The art and music are plain awesome.
Glitches, translation errors, bad balance choices, and lack of QOL mean most people probably would avoid... Though I genuinely think these issues are overall minor despite the long list. Just minor inconveniences. over 4 months ago, the dev explained they disbanded the group due to money and etc. It's rough out there for independent indie game studios. So I wouldn't buy it expecting all the fixes in the world anytime soon. Especially not when it's down to just 1 person who may or may not have time/resources to commit to this. But if you're like me, and don't mind games with a bunch of minor inconveniences. Then it's flippin awesome. I genuinely am addicted and it's sooo cool. It's like a mashup of oxygen not included + terraria + a tower defense game. There's genuine care and effort put behind the game and if you can get over the issues, glitches and translation problems. It's really neat. At least I got it on sale, so I ain't complaining. - It's hard to understand the enemy ai... sometimes they decide to randomly nibble parts of your tunnels or break blocks that aren't even in the way... They broke the blocks beneath my turret for some reason. It's really hard to predict because it's not something like "gnomes" where they only path like that if there's no other solution. - It could use more customization especially with the UI. I feel like I can barely see what I'm selecting on my hotbar or can't read certain things. Granted I have a small screen on my laptop. - Translation seems inconsistent but it honestly barely affects gameplay. Though the english for a few of the descriptions is either kind of messed up or completely wrong. So it's sometimes hard to tell what some stuff does. - Distributing resources doesn't exactly work perfectly. You have to periodically check the production and manually distribute some of the ingredients. It seems to prioritize whichever was established first and doesn't have any system to bring ingredients to a new one each time. - There's actually a lot of good options in the production menus to get around a few of the issues... But it's annoying to have to manually change them through a bunch of different windows. It'd help a TON if there were presets or something. - Kitchen's production is so horribly abysmal, it's genuinely not worth making them. You lose about 1 produce per product if you make it in the pot. But with how slow the kitchen works and how fast the land plots produce. It genuinely just ends up being a waste of food and water to put anybody in the kitchen. I started making things manually and I went from like 3,000 food with like 8 kitchens... to 14,000 food with 2 kitchens (1 food, 1 water) and manual crafting, I believe it was made with the production of bullets in mind. But bullets are used a lot less frequently and they are more efficient per kill. - Crafting recipes sell for very inconsistent amounts. Certain things cost barely any resources (like the wood farm) but sell for an absurd amount. And other things require a ton of resources and sell for basically nothing. Like some weapons. You can sell a hundred weapons but it's better to just sell leaf ladders or something. - Weapon values are not updated with the reforges or your personal buffs/tree levels. Basically it's pretty hard to tell what weapons actually do what damage without a lot of testing each one. Not to mention, a lot of weapons just show incorrect values even at base. - I have one soldier that just won't stop eating and drinking constantly and he won't stay on the damn platform... He just keeps walking to it and back. In general the soldiers just seem to be weird sometimes and they always leave for some reason during battle. Like shouldn't they be eating and drinking at other times. At the very least you should be able to make shifts or something?
game is cheap and yet still isnt really worth it
