About
Guard Protocol is a mech-based Vampire Survivors / Tower Defense hybrid where survival isn’t about winning, it’s about lasting as long as you can. Each wave grows stronger, every run ends in defeat, and the only question is: how long can you hold the line?
Customize your mech across every system, legs, body, engine, generator, weapons, and shoulder mounts, to define your own playstyle. Between runs, use resources earned from fallen enemies to unlock permanent global perks and upgrade your mech’s core components, expanding your tactical options for the next attempt.
Each run offers randomized perks and augments that shape your strategy on the fly: faster reloads, explosive shells, piercing rounds, electrical damage, and more. The right combination can turn your mech into a walking fortress, but no build lasts forever.
Battle through endless waves of enemies, mini-missions, and boss encounters that escalate with each cycle. Every defeat makes you stronger, pushing you to survive just one more wave.
Key Features:
Deep mech customization across multiple systems
Permanent global perks for evolving long-term strategy
Randomized perks for unique builds each run
Endless wave-based survival with escalating challenge
Boss encounters and mini-missions that break the flow
Meaningful progression through cash and core rewards

The game shows immense potential. The game reminds me of Armored Core but top down vibes. I can't wait to see what the final release has in store. I give it a solid 8 out of 10!
Game feels like it has potential but needs a significant amount of work on interface (tooltips, item descriptions, tutorial), AI (enemies can get stuck on terrain at the edges of the map and fail to attack you.) and explainations of what each weapon is supposed to be, what the part abilities do and the like. Currently, this feels pre-alpha.
Thumbs up, Enjoyed the game. Fast pased, challenging and fun. Made a video with some gameplay look it up!
Interesting Base Defense style game with a few good features like upgrade perks, easy movement/control with your mech, and good framerate for the amount of units on the screen. But it can still use some time in the oven to improve the turrets that you place for defence to be upgraded or better synergy with other turrets, maybe add a small barracks building that makes units over time for defense of the base, and more customization of the mech like with more body armors and weapons that you can equip(for now you can only have a choice between 2). Overall a well spent $5 dollars for a fun and new gameplay experience. FAVORITE PART: You can run over infantry troops with your mech which squashes them into dust.
I played this after completing Phantom Liberty and to put context to it, no game could really grab my attention after completing PL. My friend told me about this game so I jumped in to give it a try and was blown away. the camera controls are amazing, the directional nature of the mechs weapons, mech customization, mission variance and charming graphic/design all make a beautiful piece of art. I plan of spending a lot more time getting through the game and see what's past the first half hour. Great work! Looking forward to future updates!
this game has a lot of potential.it is fun to play and has a big mount replay value. but it has lots of bugs though.developer, please fix it.
It's an indie game made by one guy. Big deal, you might say, theres loads of those, some might even say mostly all slop. Well, this one is different, it's a tower defense/rougelite, idk if there are others like this. If not, then this is the first. The basics are as follows: There are 5 mission areas, so far, as the game is early access, 3 are open. Though it would be nice if you had to unlock the areas one by one. They vary in their tasks. The first one is a standard tower defense, where you play interference while also being able to build cannons and defenses to prolong your base. You're a mech, before you deploy you get to pick perks, you buy the perks based on power cores collected from destroyed enemies, change your color scheme—which is useful because it gets clustered on that screen—upgrade your weapons, purchase new ones—new weapons can also be harvested from destroyed enemies, plus your engine, armor, and energy shield. You defend your base from 29 waves of incoming enemies. Your mech has stamina, HP, shields, ammo count, as well the ability to charge move to escape or conduct a special attack of barrage firing missiles. All the enemies with missiles of lasers will have a red marker on the ground aiding you in dodging it. But, as the waves progress the assist isn't much as you are swarmed. Speaking of swarms. Man, this game gets intense. There's a good amount of enemies in various models, attack patterns, attack styles and methods. Reminds me of bullet hell games. There is a lot of potential here, especially as its early access. More impressive is that it was made by one guy. The other level is a search and destroy while evading swarms of enemies. During combat you will get money to spend on upgrades after the game, or you can spend building base defense. The perks you get in game do not carry over. Perks are your usual, chain lighting, incendiary, cluster missiles, better speed, higher stamina. All of which are useful as the game progresses to more and more enemies. The camera controls are smooth and useful, allowing for zooming in and rotating around to get better advantages. The soundtrack is great. It has that early 90s C&C industrial rock. Plus a few tracks that sound suspiciously like Dragonforce. So prog metal. The UI is good in that it follows a comprehensive design so it has an aesthetic. However, I think it could use some streamlining. For example some of the symbols used like upgrade could be changed. You press the “i” button for info to get the price and states for upgrades. That could just be used in the menu. It's some small things like that. During the combat, you will unlock a perk, and the screen will appear and you choose from 3. But in the frantic, frenetic clicking you will click on the perk screen and choose something by accident. There needs to be some sort of time pause, followed by a click on the image of the perk and a confirm button. I've encountered one glitch for sure, sometimes the infantry in the later waves get stuck in things. So collision issues. Looking forward to the next update.
Интересная игра, я бы порекомендовал бы ее всем ценителем ртс стратегий, Игра немного сырая и страдает от плохого дизайна, но я бы все равно посоветовал бы поиграть в эту игру, Тем более играть стоит копейки
