About

In GROUND BRANCH, you will play as the elite paramilitary arm of the CIA's Special Activities Center/Special Operations Group (SAC/SOG) and lead other special operations forces through challenging deniable ops all over the globe. With deliberate, calculated and unforgiving gameplay, GROUND BRANCH aims to be the true rebirth of the tactical realism genre of the late '90s and early 2000s. Powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 4, GB puts the "tactical" back in "tactical shooter" — no compromises.
GROUND BRANCH's unique True First-Person System improves world immersion and awareness of your surroundings, providing zero disconnect between your view and your character's physical presence in the environment. See your foot sticking out of cover? Better tuck it in — enemies may be able to see it (and shoot it) too, but only if their line of sight and muzzle are verifiably unobstructed. Cameras are placed at the character's eyes and bullets originate from the weapon's muzzle. Managing your height over bore when shooting around obstacles or aiming for precision in CQB is critical. In GROUND BRANCH, what you see is what you get.
A minimal HUD with multiple optional elements ensures that vital information is available, but never a constant obstacle to either immersion or your field of view.

Say goodbye to pre-defined kits and fully customize your character. From gear, basic appearance, and outfit, to in-depth vest and weapon platform customization, down to individual pouch and attachment placement. What you bring to your mission is determined by your loadout choice, which carries realistic consequences: with the encumbrance and stamina system, too much equipment will impact your character’s speed and performance; place a scope too forward on the rail and your sight picture will be too small; bring a long rifle into CQB and weapon collision may prove a hindrance.
Forget unlocks, microtransactions and loot boxes. Ground Branch operators get all the right tools for the job straight away — courtesy of the Agency.
Whether in 8-player co-op or 8v8 adversarial game modes, GROUND BRANCH’s unforgiving gameplay makes careful and calculated teamwork essential. Gather your teammates and practice in full-featured training areas, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and a killhouse with multiple floor plans. Integrated VOIP with both 3D positional voice and team radio ensures full communication capabilities with no need for third-party software. Text chat and pre-recorded voice messages (commo rose-style) are also available for the mic-less and the shy.
Prefer single-player? Missions with friendly A.I. and a full command system are planned for the future.
In the tactical shooter realm, movement and weapon handling are king. Take full control of your character with standing, crouching and prone stances, each with multiple movement speeds. Unique weapon postures (including low- and high-ready), leaning, free-look (head movement independent from aim), and optional and customizable free-aim (dead zone) put every part of your movement in your hands. Add dedicated mouse sensitivity sliders for point-shooting, unmagnified, and magnified aiming, and highly configurable key binding options.
You can also alternate between default actions of certain controls, such as whether a bolt action operates itself after firing or requires another click to operate.

⏳ GROUND BRANCH's unique "campaign" format will deliver smaller, more localized sets of missions based around global hotspots, with a centralized intelligence interface to monitor them and receive new mission orders over time. The choices you make along the way may affect future engagements.
☑️ Based on unique environments all over the world, the non-linear mission and map designs offer multiple entry points and open-ended outcomes.
☑️ Enemies are spawned at mission start, with a degree of randomization to quantity and location. No "monster closets" or magic enemy spawns based on player location or mission progress.
☑️ Ready Room: A physical multiplayer lobby where you can plan your approach, see your teammates' loadouts, test weapon configurations on a firing range and jointly select insertion points.
☑️ Full and 100% free dedicated server support. Host a server wherever you want!
☑️ Unit patches that can be attached to your character's sleeves and gear.
⏳ Full support for MP ladders.
☑️ After-action review (AAR) following each mission/round.
☑️ Server-side options.
⏳ Full mod support.
☑️ No item unlocking, hit markers, kill confirmations or score pop-ups.
⏳ Weapon bracing/supporting.
☑️ Varied arsenal: Multiple handguns, submachine guns, carbines, assault and battle rifles, machine guns, DMRs, sniper rifles and explosives to choose from, with a full suite of optics and attachments to complement them.
☑️ Map variation: In addition to day and night versions as well as weather variation, maps have small details that can change between rounds, such as doors and windows that may be open, closed or blocked.
☑️ Unlimited loadout save slots.
☑️ Item sharing/dropping/pickups.
☑️ Accurate ballistics with penetration, bullet drop and stopping power simulation.
⏳ No regenerating health or health packs: Administer first aid to non-lethal injuries that would further reduce combat effectiveness if not treated.
⏳ Location damage model: Expect visible injuries and consequences, such as limping, reduced arm function, and/or hits to stamina and accuracy. Players immobilized from a non-lethal injury can stay in the fight.
⏳ Drag teammates to safety to administer first aid – or to safely recover their ammo, gear, or cargo.
☑️ Appropriate and realistic playable female characters.
☑️ Partial controller support (configurable).

not to be that guy but wtf is this difficulty!!!! whats the point of armor if i get one tapped before my damn gun even comes around the corner by "UNTRAINED FIGHTER" not to mention the fact of bug, crashes when my friends join Did you even play test this damn game.
Nice armor plates but AI only shoot my head every time. scopes lag every time and make my FPS down to 10 from 100 :)
"Grand Branch 1.0 has been an absolute disappointment. I only bought this game during the summer sale because I heard the 1.0 update was coming soon. Before the update, I actually enjoyed it and had high hopes—exactly as your promotional trailers led me to believe. But the 1.0 rollout has introduced a flood of issues: 1. The most critical: atrocious optimization. The install size bloated from 40GB to 99GB, yet the actual content hasn't doubled—and my framerate has tanked. Pre-update, I could lock 60 fps on high settings with ease. Now I struggle to hit 60 on low, and the moment I aim down a high-magnification scope, it stutters into the 30–40 fps gutter. 2. The promised AI squadmates in campaign are nowhere to be found. For players who don't want to socialize, this is a disaster. Before, enemy AI was manageable solo; now, with this slideshow performance and ridiculously overtuned enemies, solo play has become pure torture. 3. And this is the first time I've ever seen a game hit '1.0' and then get an even deeper discount—only a few bucks, sure, but it still leaves a sour taste. Bottom line: Anyone thinking of buying should hold off—this is not the right time. The game desperately needs more polishing, yet days have passed since the update, negative reviews are piling up, and not a single hotfix has dropped. That makes me seriously question the dev team's commitment." 1.0版真是失望透顶,本来我就是听说1.0版本即将更新才在夏促买了这个游戏。
Grest military simulator. Bring 3 more friends and you’ll have countless hours of fun. Yes, 1.0 might have been released too early, but updates will still roll in, i am excited for the future of this game and what the devs will add next. I have been following it’s progress and playing it for a couple of years now, and finally decided to pull the trigger and buy the 1.0 release. Add my country flag devs: 🇷🇴

GROUND BRANCH has a great concept, but after such a long and rocky development, it is hard to look past how unfinished it still feels. Calling the game 1.0 does not really match its current state. The weapon handling and customization are still the strongest parts of the game. Building a loadout, setting up your gear, and clearing a map can be a lot of fun. There is also some replayability from changing the insertion point, enemy count, time of day, and the loadout you take to each mission. The main problem with this update that the AI is still very inconsistent. Enemies will stand around, rush through the same doorway, ignore obvious threats, or suddenly spot and kill you through darkness and concealment. A lot of the difficulty comes from inconsistent accuracy and reaction times instead of actually being outsmarted by the ai. Using the custom AI settings does little to decrease the issues. There are also a lot of other glaring issues. Performance can be inconsistent, sound direction is not always clear, and the game can look blurry even at higher settings. Picture-in-picture scopes cause frame drops and stuttering. The animations, interface, mission structure, and overall presentation have definitely improved but still lack some polish I would expect from a 1.0 release. The updates have also been very slow, which makes the remaining issues harder to overlook. The game is still improving, but I think it should have been further along before being called a 1.0 release. Other people may disagree, but for me, 1.0 means the game is feature-complete, stable, and polished enough that the major problems are no longer the first things you notice when you load up the game. I still get plenty enjoyment out of it. For me It is more of a game I start after work, put together a loadout, and run one or two quick missions before moving on to something else. That is where most of the replayability comes from for me. There are more updates planned, so I know development is not over. I hope those updates can improve the AI, performance, missions, and overall polish because there is still a good game underneath all of these problems. GROUND BRANCH is NOT a bad game. It has a strong concept, great customization, and moments where everything comes together. I just do not think it was ready to be called 1.0 yet. Hopefully upcoming hotfixes and updates will improve the experience. WHO SHOULD BUY IT Buy it if you enjoy tactical shooters, detailed loadout customization, playing with friends, or running one or two missions at a time. You will probably get the most out of it if you are willing to have low expectations overlook unfinished systems and wait for future updates. WHO SHOULD NOT BUY IT Don't not buy it if your expecting a polished, feature-complete tactical shooter with great AI, a long campaign, or a lot of mission variety. If the 1.0 label makes you expect a finished product, I would wait and see how the next updates turn out. PROS Great weapon and loadout customization Satisfying gunplay and room clearing Several ways to approach missions Good for short sessions Strong foundation for a tactical shooter More updates are still planned Modding community is great CONS AI is still inconsistent and often frustrating Missions can become repetitive Performance and visual clarity need work Sound direction can be unreliable Animations and presentation still feel unfinished Development and major updates have been very slow Does not feel like a true 1.0 release
Une 1.0 avec moins de fonctionnalités que les versions béta... Des crashs réguliers. Ce n'est pas du tout une 1.0 c'est juste une mise à jour très lourde d'un jeu non terminé. On nous indique un mode solo, on a une mission !!
