With many different endings and how your choices effect them, this game can be very mild during a play or take you on a wild ride. Would recommend.
interesting artstyle, great soundscape, lots of endings well worth the money
I enjoyed the visuals and overall aesthetics of this game. It was pretty cool to see the art and the animations. I noticed some pretty minor grammatical errors but like I said, they're all so minor that it doesn't take away from your understanding or general experience. Pretty neat game!!
I really enjoyed the idea behind this game. As a fan of manga, the style and inspiration behind Grotesque Beauty was enough motivation to purchase it. PROS: -Interesting graphics -Re-playability (for those who are interested in getting all the endings. I believe there are 30 endings, total) -Creepy atmosphere CONS: -No character development. I felt no real connection to the characters, since the game is so short. I mean, when someone was faced with danger, I really didn't give a damn -No convenient save/load points (would come in handy for those who are trying to unlock multiple endings and are interested in skipping past the first few beginning conversations) -Game was too short (I wanted more. WE want more!) Thank you, Digital Bento for the experience. I look forward to checking out what new games you release. And everybody, please stay far away from this painting if you happen to see it at an art exhibit (or yard sale).
I was surprised that I managed to get through the vn so quickly, but it was an interesting ride. I wish there was an ending list so I could at least know if I got them instead of relying on my own memory... and I kinda regret that I got the true ending or whatever so early like my second or third try, so it felt a little lacking after many more skips and tries for my ending/ new dialogue hunt. Sigh. But, it still was entertaining though.
From what I read there are thirty endings....I only have one done so far so yeah I got a ways to go. Love the art, the story and mystery are engaging to where you need to know what happens next. No useless audio or jump scares here (yet) so it makes for a more streamlined journey where everything seems to matter. Only problem I may have is getting all the endings unless I chart every choice I make. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
This game, simply put, is outstanding. Love the art, love the story, and love trying to get the different endings. Would definitely recommend.
Meh, too short and not scary.
This was a really good experience. You can tell a lot of love went into this. This was really good to pass time. If you're a fan of horror visual novels, I highly recommend this.
Short game, lots of endings. Some a little more fleshed out than others but there's a lot in there that makes each play through still interesting and spooky. I really enjoyed the art style and sound design, too. Gives Creepypasta/NoSleep reddit story vibes.
