amazing sound track, and i'm not sure what's going on but it doesn't really matters.
Could do with a patch to allow it to run better on modern platforms but it's still a bit of a classic. Recommended. PS: If you have issues running the game in fullscreen mode browse to local files and set the game to 640x480 in the compatibility tab. :)
Awesome game. I like all the Gridrunner games.

I have been a big fan of Jeff minter since the early days on the Vic-20 with games like Traxx, Defender and the original Gridrunner. I've played a lot of his modern PC games including Tempest which are all good, but there is something about this game which really captures the original spirit of Minters work. I think it could be the samples and general crazy graphics which all blend really nicely. Anyway for any old school Jeff Minter fans, this is a winner. Just as much fun with a mouse as it is with a controller.
I played this game for almost 2 hours before I realized it had been running too fast. I just thought it was really, really hard or I was really, really bad at video games. Since it was so impossible to play, I barely ever played it. Then I saw a YouTube video of someone else playing it and it wasn't nearly as fast as mine. Turns out I needed to go in the NVIDIA control panel and set this game to run at a Maximum of 60 FPS. Now it is running much slower and I got my best score. I feel like this is something the programmer should have taken care of, but at least I got it fixed on my end. This game no longer seems impossible and I will play it more.
