[/url] Great Esport Manager is a clicker sim game. Wait, clicker, that is not even mentioned on the store page, it neither has that tag! Well, I finished the game and it felt like playing a clicker game. So, what is the goal of this game? First of all, i believe, the main goal is to make you bored. No kidding! Repetitive tasks, boring memes and jokes and even more repetitive grind tasks. You will play as an esport manager and you need to build up a pro gamer team. Each gamer has 4 different attribute skills, these represent 4 different game genres. You recruit gamers with low actual skills but much higher maximum skill limits. This is where the grind starts. You need to expand your building, implement furnitures/equpiments which increases their related skills. Move the characters to train on these skills, then move them to the bed so they get energy back. Training decreases ego so in the meantime you also need to move them to the computer so they can play online and get some ego. Too low or too high ego makes you lose that gamer permanently. You will keep repeating these tasks. Based on the activity of your gamers there are also 4 minigames. On these you just simply need to click on the right spot. This helps on skillboost while the gamer is on the training session or gives extra money if that minigame shows up while the computer(livestream) is being used. When your gamers are trained already you can send them to win cups. No, nothing will happen while they are there, they finish it in 2-3 mins and you will see the end result. You will just see the timer and once “mission done” they return. Like in a clicker game. On big challenge cups, there are like 5-6 in the game, it is a bit different. The cup progress is based on the skills of your gamers but there are the already known clicker minigames that show up continuously and clicking correctly on them speed up the cup progress bar. [h1]Conclusion[/h1] Do not buy on full price, even on the highest ever -90% discount the game might be still expensive because of its boring clicky minigames and grind heavy, boring, repetitive content. You can buy much better games for your money. Story: 5/10, there are some jokes and memes in the game, some might like it, some not. I recommend the game to everyone that is somewhat familiar with Esports, there is a lot of action and humor around it. I had a lot of fun while playing throught the game. It has a story filled with humor, the gameplay is full of action, especially during championships and i laughed my arse off during the cutscenes. The game is said to be partially translated into other languages and as a russian speaker and experienced gamer I found the gameplay to be very intuitive and easy to understand. Totally a must have for those who dont take jokes too seriously. 10/10! Looking forward collecting steam cards!

Look, this game just isn't the right type of video game for me personally. When I see a "casual simulation game." I personally don't expect all this micromanagement. And you might say "it's a simulation, of course it has micromanagement." But I mean that your workers don't have an AI. Like imagine trying to play rimworld where you have to tell every pawn to goto bed, train their skills, ect. It's really stressful at times and I'd advise removing the "casual" tag from this game. Personally, I found "Factorio," one of the most complex simulations to be more "casual" then this game. The game itself really doesn't have that much depth. Most of the diffculty comes from skill rather then complexity. Which is what strikes me as odd with a simulation game. For example, the minigames. I don't have the reflexes to play "rock paper sissors" in the span of 20-30 seconds roughly. I just can't. I also can't ever keep track of all the streamers running around at the same time and try to get each of them, the skills and rest they need. I don't think this game is bad. I just wouldn't recommend it to the majority of simulation gamers. Generally speaking, I play simulation games because I'm fairly terrible at most video games. And I find the challenge of wits to be more entertaining then "how fast can you click?" One major issue is that Linux users should avoid the game at all costs until it is patched. Currently, changing your window size crashes your entire OS. I actually had to reboot my computer, delete my prefs file and play it in a tiny window. If however, you've got lighting fast FPS reflexes, then this is the perfect game for you to enjoy. Overall, this game can be summarized as a "simulation game for COD players who think complex video games hurt their brains."

Memes and real world political issues aside, this is a pretty decent idle/management game that also comes with twitch integration although it does lack replay value as it's possible to get all the achievements in one go

If I was supposed to describe Great eSport Manager in a single sentence then it'd be a meme management in North Korea. The whole game is filled with jokes, references, easter eggs and the story that indeed takes the place in DPRK. In addition to that the game is pretty cheap and tries to be unique to its own degree, but sadly this is everything good I can say about it. The gameplay is very boring, non-enjoyable and pure grindy by the end. The concept isn't the worst but I've seen mobile games that achieve similar thing much better. Great eSport Manager is basically advanced, glorified clicker game, and very poor one when you extract those gameplay details out of the whole picture. However, I can't leave negative note for this game, [strike]I could face the consequences otherwise[/strike]. The game isn't good, I could say that it's even bad around some edges, but the amount of humour, references, jokes and other fun content, mixed with the story that is as hilarious as it can get, pushes me a little towards a mixed-positive note. I'd lie if I said that I didn't have enjoyable experience with the game, even if the core gameplay was a pure disaster. There are better games to get, both for meme content and management, but if eSports management in DPRK sounds like something you really want to check for yourself, I can understand you and I can recommend this one for you, as long as you won't have too high expectations from it. This is not your average dry management sim. It's quite unlike anything else I've played, honestly. It's certainly unique enough to be worth your time. There's a weird storyline woven into the game, and I promise it's a story you haven't seen and won't expect. There are really interesting metaphors and funny surprises throughout the game as well. None of the mechanics are particularly deep or challenging, but still manage to be satisfying. The sheer quantity of things to do at any one moment keeps it from getting boring. It's not a long game, and it shouldn't be. It's fun, and it's certainly unique. It's cheap, too, and a bargain on sale. Definitely check this one out.

The following information contains spoilers but explains a bit more about one achievement [spoiler] I was a bit in shock, at the end of the story you'll lose all your players, and I still had not beaten every battle with 3 stars, and there is an achievement for having every battle won with 3 stars. Tbh it was not a problem that I lost all my players, because the new players you can higher have a higher skill level and can have every skill on max 150, so it just took a little bit of time to get them to 150 and doing the last few battles which I hadn't even started or hadn't got 3 stars on. It didn't take long at all to get that last achievement. [/spoiler]

VERY surface level sim. A lot of humor, a little bit too much for me, but I think it would appease most players. It's more linear than I expected, which turned me off quite a bit. The repetitive tasks and the lack of some actual good gameplay, made me feel like the grind was pointless.
