It's got the sauce, eager to see this game progress in content, it obviously draw's comparisons to Escape from Tarkov and for good reason, it is the same DNA here. Much like playing tarkov over the past 6 years , I've seen huge updates completely revive and change the game. Excited to see new maps , guns , and in general content added whats here is already very impressive.
This is perfectly what ghost recon could have been This game has been exactly what I’ve been looking for and especially love the devs attention to the PvE mode instead of solely focusing on PvP This game has so much going for it and so much potential aswell Just the environment and the map alone is its own beauty- the gun play still feels a bit stiff but of course this is an early access game I’m very excited to see the future of this game and love playing it with my partner and friends
fighting ai with friends is fun buy a cheap loadout if you dont wanna lose your stuff an just enjoy taking out bots
follow the laughter in the woods
Having fun trying something a little different. I like the Asian landscape.
Gray Zone Warfare is an open-world extraction shooter. The core premise puts you on a massive island split among 3 rival factions. Something absolutely catastrophic happened right in the dead center of the map, turning it into Ground Zero. Your mission is to figure out what the hell went wrong and try your best not to die in the process. The Short Answer: Is It Worth Buying? As of right now, I wouldn't rush into it. It's more of a purchase for the future. Playtime It takes about 100–120 hours to get through the main story and the side content. Beyond that, you can sink as much time into it as you want. Story 3/10 You drop onto an island divided by 3 factions with a mysterious Ground Zero zone in the middle, and you must uncover the mystery of what happened. Music 4/10 I didn't pay too much attention to the music, which usually means it's decent. The game sounds, however, are a completely different story—they are way too loud and heavily deafening. Also, the in-game radio is just incredibly bizarre. Graphics 8/10 When it comes to visuals, the game looks excellent. In my opinion, the graphics are a noticeable step up from Escape from Tarkov—about half a head taller, easily. Mechanics 5/10 Naturally, it's impossible not to compare this game to Tarkov. On the bright side, you actually get a proper map, a functional minimap, and a compass. However, when it comes to the health and injury mechanics, they went completely overkill. There’s tremors, pain, shortness of breath, and about 20 other different status effects. Health is essentially calculated by your blood volume; it slowly leaks out when you are injured, and once you hit 50%, you drop into a coma. Luckily, teammates (or even enemies) can revive you. The amount of medical supplies in this game is straight-up terrifying—Tarkov looks like it only has 3 medical kits by comparison. The promised open-world structure feels completely different from Tarkov. Extraction here means either physically hoofing it back to your main base/checkpoint, or calling in a helicopter to one of dozens of different landing zones to fly you out (or drop you in). The AI enemies feel pretty dumb, though their hit-reaction animations when shot are top-notch. Weapon progression is rough—for the first 30 hours, you barely have any gun variety. Modding weapons is also incredibly clunky and frustrating; it’s rarely clear what part goes where, how to unequip components, or what exactly is blocking an attachment. Water and food decay rates are heavily overtuned as well; you are forced to constantly eat and drink. Personal Take My biggest personal grievance is the absolute lack of variety in backpacks and tactical rigs—they are tiny. A standard blue backpack from Tarkov would be considered a solid mid-tier size here. To make matters worse, you can't buy anything useful early on, and looting decent gear off the local "Scav" equivalents is practically impossible. The map is vast and open, but it feels artificial—it heavily reminds me of a Far Cry map. I haven’t dipped too much into PvP, but a massive plus is that you can safely farm gear in PvE mode before taking your hard-earned loot into active faction warfare. Also, the premium supporter packs are packed much better than Tarkov's, and the items inside offer way more actual utility. The loot pool looks diverse on paper, but in reality, you end up looting the exact same items over and over again. The concept itself is incredibly solid and it definitely plays differently than Tarkov, but it has a mix of very cool features and downright infuriating design choices. Overall Score: 63/100
