There's nothing 'idle' about this idle game. At release it was possible to, eventually, spam out dozens of lawnmowers within a few seconds to allow the game to progress until the current lawn is complete - but then once the new area started you'd have to do it all again. So the 'idle' aspect lasted all of 5 minutes at the most? After the most recent update (which wiped saves, wonderfully) the dev added a timer to the purchasing of auto-mowers so that you have to wait 10 seconds+ between each new mower. It artificially lengthens the game for absolutely no sensible reason. Yes, obviously the game is free to play so I haven't wasted any money on it. Thankfully. But even so... needless to say I'll be uninstalling and never playing again.
its weird and confusing, nothing is explained and gameplay is pretty boring, with a sh*tton of updates it could probably be fun enough Theres mícrotransactions??????? for a game of this quality, thats a low blow

Fun garden game.
Полнейшая ерунда сделанная без капли фантазии.
Not super fun, really confusing. Spent 7 mins trying every key on my keyboard except tab... which is the one and only key you use in this game to do anything. Not really great, and the GUI is way too basic to have those weird little bugs / feel uncomfortable.
"Wonderful. That’s the word that perfectly describes Grass Cutters Academy. From the very beginning to the very end, it’s an incredible experience. This game has helped me through both good times and difficult moments, always offering a comforting escape. The storytelling is immersive, the graphics are stunning, and the music is absolutely beautiful—it’s like the game has been crafted with so much love and care. The gameplay is engaging and fun, keeping me hooked for hours without ever getting boring. The pacing is spot-on, with an exciting start that draws you in and an ending that leaves you completely satisfied. In fact, it’s so well-rounded that it feels like the perfect game. If you haven’t had the chance to try it yet, I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re a fan of great narratives, challenging gameplay, or just looking for something to bring you joy, Grass Cutters Academy will deliver. It has given me countless hours of entertainment, and I’m sure it will bring you just as much joy and excitement as it has for me. Trust me, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss."
I'm not going to do a full review. There's not enough here to keep my interest and playing it. Idle game, not much progress offline. Not a bad game. Could use some improvements. Seems like the dev is doing some good work on it. Lack of content, hopefully that will change soon. Edit. More grasscutting. I didn't notice much new stuff.
Grass Cutters Academy is a "freemium" 2D retro pixel idle/clicker game where you upgrade and buy autonomous lawnmowers that "paint" the grass after cutting it. Yeah, I don't see the appeal. Graphics are lazy 2D retro pixel "art" and clearly just a minimum viable product needed to ship the game. There's not much in the way of gameplay, it's just mobile app time management clicking to produce "lawnmowers", with no real merit or interest for gamers. The most surprising thing about Grass Cutters Academy is that it's not some craptastic mobile app that's been dumped on Steam. I'm guessing that the developers got completely confused about their target audience and launched this on Steam thinking that Steam was Google Play where all the mobile peasants buy their mobile apps. That's certainly where this garbage belongs. While this looks free, the developers had only one goal here, making a cash grab. The game features in-game microtransaction currency, and the game has, and I'm not kidding here, a completely insulting $65 USD worth of greedy microtransaction DLC. That really is insulting to gamers. I can't recommend this mobile-app wanna be garbage to anyone.
1/10 .............. its bad
