Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition

I first played Vice City when I was 8 years old after somehow convincing my mom it was just a car racing game. Now, a decade later, with GTA VI only four months away, I decided to revisit it and finally play through it in its entirety. Maybe it’s just nostalgia speaking, but I genuinely think Vice City has absolutely stood the test of time. I love the game’s narrative and aesthetic and how heavily it draws inspiration from Scarface. I also think this is the GTA with the best atmosphere and vibes out of the entire series. I highly recommend playing through it.

Voltar para Vice City depois de longos anos e poder revisitar memórias da infância é uma das melhores experiências nostálgicas com toda certeza. Mesmo com algumas trilhas sonoras da versão clássica terem sido removidas, essa edição continuou valendo cada minuto novamente!

Still got some bugs to iron out after all these years, but still a good play-through here if you don't want to fix the legacy version with mods and patches. Still better if you lock this to 30fps though if you don't want the games physics to be buggy. being able to push cars so easily and stuff, much like the legacy version

Ohne Nostalgiebrille kann ich nur sagen, dass dieses Spiel unglaublich schlecht gealtert ist. Es ist eines der schlechtesten Spiele, die ich jemals gezockt habe und ich spiele eigentlich gerne auch ältere Games. Die Story hat mir sehr gut gefallen, aber das Gameplay, die Bugs und das Missionsdesign sind jeweils für sich schon unglaublich schlecht und ergeben zusammen einfach ein katastrophales Gesamtpaket. Mit der Performance hatte ich keine Probleme und Abstürze gab es auch nicht.

After getting all achievements in GTA III, this game is a breath of fresh air. Do recommend.

Безусловно, игры из эры 3D вселенной в свое время игрались очень круто и свежо, но вот в текущее время, это уже совсем другое. Устаревшие геймплейные механики и игровые условности сильно выбиваются. Из ярко выраженного - система полиции. В отличии от HD вселенной, тут они просто спавняться буквально перед лицом, игроку не совсем понятно, как от них избавится естественным путем (никак), остается лишь перекрасить авто, сменить одежду или поднять звездочки по миру. Стрельба в оригинале - это мрак. Благо, в дефинитиве постарались хоть как-то это исправить и добавить адекватную прицельную стрельбу. Но импакта от стрельбы 0. Но и на этом спасибо. С визуальной точки зрения полный порядок, атмосфера сохранилась, выглядит в целом круто. Пройти её можно, особенно на чувстве ностальгии, оно может вытянуть многое, но молодому поколению это будет трудно. Из всей 3D вселенной самой играбельной, адекватной и в какой-то степени актуальной остается San Andreas. Гта3 это очень нишевая штука, которую пройдут разве что лютые фанаты. Рекомендую ли я эту игру? Как продукт своего времени - да. Как новый продукт в текущее время - нет.

Definitely a game that hasn't aged super well, but it was fun to revisit it. Some missions are not well designed, and can be quite frustrating, which have made me conclude I was a better gamer back in the 2000s.
