Reviews
"Götz" ist ein fesselndes Spiel, das durch seine liebevolle Gestaltung, eine packende Erzählung und herausfordernde Rätsel besticht. Die Kombination dieser Elemente sorgt für ein mitreißendes Spielerlebnis, das Spieler immer wieder in seinen Bann zieht. Ein großes Kompliment an die Entwickler – bitte weiter so!
I came across this because I play pretty much every medieval themed game. It's a lovely little puzzle game with a ton of charm. Very challenging too! My only nitpick is that when you turn the music off in the settings it still plays during cut-scenes/dialogue
I gave it a fair shot, but after a few hours I simply gave up. The puzzles are hard and relatively interesting (from a certain point, because first 10 levels or so, which are more like a tutorial, are boring as hell), but they lack so many QoL features, the game becomes a chore very fast. Everything is incredibly slow, from traversing over the world map, to loading screens, to watching the resolution of your actions. Some people say the story is cool and appealing, but I found it rather childish and lackluster. In all, I didn't mind spending the $5, but wouldn't do so again.
Ist nicht schlecht, aber nichts für mich
Goetz is an interesting game and I have enjoyed it so far despite its flaws.
Lovely graphics, simple and engaging game mechanics. Plays well on the Steam Deck.
Hesitant recommendation. Everything about the game looks amazing. Great art, sound, voice acting, backdrop, etc. The game itself, because of the art and game design, make it hard to discern the puzzle mechanics and progression. This puzzle game is HARD, don't let them whimsical story fool you. Don't feel bad if you have to crack open a hit or two each level.
What a little gem. These guys should develope more games.
