"Gorge" is a rather mediocre and extremely generic (depressingly so) parkour/grapple first person platformers... one of many hundreds on Steam... misleadingly advertised as free, but content is paywalled behind DLC. The level design is poor, in some places too easy, in others much too hard (no playtesting done)... it's just a sloppy amateurish mess that did not succeed on Steam Direct. Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. Whatever the excuses may be, it does no service to gamers for incomplete products polluting Steam like this. It makes it harder for gamers to find complete games, and it makes it harder for ethical developers who do the right thing to find their audience. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. You're expected to pay up $5 USD to unlock content through DLC purchases. The game should not be considered completely unlocked until you empty your wallet for the developer. This is misleading and predatory pricing on a product falsely marketed as "free". Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free, that was a dismal public reception. But if you take into account the problems I bring up in this review, it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Given that this free game won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Шедевр видео-игровой индустрии!!! Атмосфера игры проникает прямиком внутрь тебя, и вызывает желание исследовать этот мир, и наслаждаться им. Отдельно хочу подметить саундтрек на первой локации, это просто нечто...
