Interesting mechanic doesn’t always translate to fun gameplay. The concept is comparable to any other first-person puzzle game. You are held in an unknown facility with a succession of puzzles that make you feel like a mouse trapped in a maze. Instead of complete silence or loneliness, there is a chatty man named Ethan on the other end of the microphone who instructs you what to do and makes comments. Your character is fairly agile. It has an extremely good double jump and wall-running abilities, which allows it to climb some vertical walls. However, the most important mechanic is your capacity to throw explosives. Bombs are available in two types: normal, which explode on impact, and another that’s detonated by pushing the button again. You have an infinite supply, and they can blow away most barriers, but they can also rocket you high into the air, especially if you stand on a cube. Unfortunately, this technique is extremely uneven, always launching you at a different height. This is especially painful with puzzles that have lethal green water. You die if you fall in, and it forces you to restart the entire stage. Although there are only ten stages that don’t take long, they still contain several screens. It’s frustrating when you die near an end due to bad mechanics.
I bought this game on a whim, yet i thoroughly enjoyed it, as someone who isn't good at games like this i was worried i would get stuck and bored but ended up finishing the main levels, there is still a few things that i haven't done yet like the end game content. I would give this game a chance.
Upon further inspection, I have come to the conclusion that this game should, in fact, be played.
10 little levels to beat with game mechanics like bombs, wallruns, and more. Additional 10 extreme variations of those levels. Play the storyline and the additional levels, create your own level designs or play other players made levels and rate them all!
Very Fun Game, I think there was something about a story but then I saw there was a Scoreboard and I kinda blacked out after that. Great if you like speedrunning with a Titanfall style movement.
