Goop Loop

Goop Loop carries the same "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy" vibe—challenging, quirky, and maddeningly fun. But it adds its own unique flavor thanks to Jitspoe, your ever-present companion who’s both a friendly guide and a mischievous antagonist. It’s fun, but also tough to fully grasp at first. You’ve kinda gotta keep looping through its gameplay loop until the goop loop finally clicks… inside its own little loop.

I got it after the creator joined one of my streams and promoted it. Took me six hours and multiple game updates to finally beat it. As of writing this review, I managed to beat it in 17 minutes.

This game rocks. Wasn't sold on the physics at first, but so glad I stuck with it. And the narration is killer. Definitely well worth the $4.

This is hard. I'm not even able to beat the first level! I can respect a game that doesn't babysit the player to the end, and actually has a big risk of failure. Fair price for the hours I tried.

Very Goopy. Very Loopy. Very fun and challenging game that can seem pretty simple but has a lot of room for mastery.

I lol'd. And lol'd some more. Even my hot pink goop lolled from its loop. I hate this game and look forward to more of its puns, dad jokes, and delightfully awkward sound effects. At least once I stop lolling around and plug in a controller. (The keyboard controls are actually pretty darn tight, but I suspect thumbstick control is where it's at if you're a casual ragequitter like myself.) Update: Nope, turns out I'm just rubbish at the game! Thumbsticks are also restricted to 8-direction control to even the playing field.

Super frustrating, also really feels good when you get past obstacles that you couldn't work out how to do earlier.
