Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 23 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

GOAT OF DUTY is a chaotic arena shooter that leans fully into absurdity while quietly trying to revive the spirit of classic, fast-paced multiplayer FPS design. Developed by 34BigThings and published by Raiser Games, it replaces hardened soldiers with weapon-wielding goats and builds its identity around that ridiculous premise. What might initially seem like a throwaway joke quickly reveals itself as a surprisingly earnest attempt to recreate the kind of quick, reflex-driven combat that defined older arena shooters, where movement, positioning, and split-second reactions matter more than progression systems or loadout customization. The gameplay is centered on tight, fast matches that rarely give players time to breathe. Movement is exaggerated in a way that feels intentionally chaotic, with goats able to leap, climb, and dart around maps with a kind of weightless agility. This creates a flow that is both unpredictable and demanding, rewarding players who can quickly adapt to the verticality and pace of each encounter. Gunplay is straightforward and responsive, avoiding unnecessary complexity in favor of immediate feedback and accessibility. It is easy to jump into a match and understand the basics, but mastering the speed and spatial awareness required to consistently perform well takes time. The result is a gameplay loop that is simple on the surface but capable of delivering intense, moment-to-moment action. The maps are designed with this pace in mind, featuring compact layouts filled with vertical elements, hazards, and multiple pathways that keep players constantly in motion. Encounters happen frequently and often unexpectedly, which adds to the game’s sense of energy but can also make it feel overwhelming, especially for newcomers. There is little downtime between engagements, and survival often depends on quick reactions rather than careful planning. This design choice aligns well with the game’s arcade roots, but it also means that matches can sometimes feel chaotic to the point of being difficult to read, with deaths occurring so quickly that it can be hard to understand what went wrong. Game modes stick to familiar territory, including free-for-all and team-based formats, along with variations that introduce small twists to the standard formula. These modes do not attempt to reinvent multiplayer design, but they provide a solid framework for the core mechanics to shine. The focus remains firmly on moment-to-moment gameplay rather than long-term progression, which gives the experience a pick-up-and-play quality that works well in short sessions. At the same time, the lack of deeper systems or meaningful progression may limit long-term engagement for players who are used to more modern multiplayer structures. What truly defines GOAT OF DUTY is its tone. The game embraces its absurdity at every level, from the concept of armed goats to the humorous animations and cosmetic options that reinforce its playful identity. This lighthearted approach sets it apart from more serious shooters, making it feel approachable and self-aware. The humor is not particularly subtle, but it is consistent, and it helps create an experience that feels distinct rather than generic. The game does not try to balance its silliness with realism; instead, it commits fully to the joke, and that commitment gives it a clear and memorable personality. However, the game’s reliance on multiplayer is a significant limitation. Its design is clearly built around competitive play, and while it does include bots, they lack the unpredictability and challenge that make the game truly engaging. The overall experience depends heavily on having an active player base, and when that is lacking, the game struggles to maintain its appeal. Without consistent access to real opponents, the gameplay loop can quickly become repetitive, highlighting the absence of alternative modes or systems that could provide variety. There are also some rough edges in terms of balance and presentation. The speed of gameplay can sometimes make it difficult to track opponents or react effectively, and weapon balance does not always feel perfectly tuned. Visually, the game prioritizes clarity and function over detail, which suits its fast-paced design but does little to elevate its overall aesthetic beyond its comedic concept. These issues do not fundamentally break the experience, but they do prevent it from feeling as polished as it could be. Despite these shortcomings, GOAT OF DUTY succeeds in delivering a specific kind of fun. It captures the energy of classic arena shooters and combines it with a playful, irreverent tone that makes it easy to enjoy in short bursts. When matches are active and evenly matched, the game can be genuinely exciting, offering moments of frantic action that feel both satisfying and unpredictable. It may not have the depth or longevity of larger titles, but it does not need to in order to achieve its goals. In the end, GOAT OF DUTY is a game that thrives on its simplicity and personality. It is not trying to compete with large-scale shooters or redefine the genre; instead, it focuses on delivering fast, chaotic matches wrapped in a layer of humor that makes the experience feel fresh. Its biggest challenge lies in maintaining an active player base, but for those who can find matches or play with friends, it offers a lively and entertaining take on arena shooting that is easy to pick up and hard to take too seriously. Rating: 7/10

dead game. was fun with friends back in 2020
