Gnomes Garden: Halloween

Enjoyable game, but particularly bad story. Levels would be challenging for younger players and those who have trouble concentrating or planning. Pros: - Each level lets you take as long as you want/need, despite the timer. - Despite not being a proper puzzle game some levels do require levels of strategic planning, as well as a little luck. - You can continue on with the story regardless of how many stars you earned for the previous levels, as long as you finish the level before moving on to the next. - You can pause and restart levels whenever you want, and you can replay levels whenever you want. Cons: - The story in this one repeats itself, and is confusing. I feel like a section of the story was missing somewhere - probably replaced by the section which repeated itself. There were also a few spelling mistakes. - Young players will find it frustrating or impossible to try and achieve 3 stars on every level. - I was unable to wipe my progress or start again under another player's name, meaning that once you've finished it once, your scores stay in place (but you can still play all of the levels again).

Very similar to the other titles. Halloween is minimal, but the budget was tight I guess. Still something. Levels are more difficult. Supposedly a good thing, try a level, observe, play seriously the 2nd time. But as with very many 8floor games, they are designed for the easy stuff and consequences of difficulty can get frustrating. You have a 10 second job, 15 seconds to go, worker in place, game picks a worker that takes 20 seconds to get there. Ability to queue up commands for locked objectives would also be really helpful on complicated maps. So, across the 5-8 reviews over this series, I leave this negative, but overall it's still 80%. Just have to sort the "either too easy or too frustrating" parts of the game engine.

Très sympa, graphismes ludiques et agréables, interface simple et efficace, objectifs pas trop faciles à atteindre.
