About
Whether you are drawn to the lands of Gloomhaven by the call of adventure or an avid desire for the glimmer of gold in the dark, your fate will surely be the same…
Lead your band of mercenaries through this unforgiving place, where every choice is crucial. Carve your way through terrifying dungeons, dreadful forests and dark caves filled with horrific monsters to reap your rewards… or die trying.
Sell your sword to anyone who can afford it, may they be city officials or corrupt cultists. You are paid to get results and not ask questions. Where will you draw the line?
Gloomhaven is a tactical RPG and a digital adaptation of the ultimate strategy board game by Isaac Childres (the highest-rated board game of all time on ). Set in a unique medieval dark fantasy universe, Gloomhaven rewards strategic planning and problem solving. Face this dark world alone or in online co-op for up to 4 players!
Explore the world in a band of 2 to 4 mercenaries. Each of the 17 unique characters comes with their own skills and more than 1,000 different abilities to master! Prepare your deck of ability cards before setting out to explore the dark caves and dreadful forest of Gloomhaven through quests and events.
Once inside a dungeon, engage in tactical turn-based combat by selecting two cards for each mercenary on every turn. You can only use the top half of one and the bottom half of another, so plan accordingly!
Move up your hired blades on the hex grid terrain to take advantage of the dungeon’s environment. Set up deadly combos and unleash devastating powers but be wary of the cost. Cards are a resource as scarce and crucial as your life points, so watch out for exhaustion. Every choice has life or death consequences.
Hone your abilities during the game with enhancements and perks, while your power increases with level ups and new equipment. You need every advantage you can to survive here. So, gear up your band of mercenaries, chase powerful artifacts, buy the favor of the Great Oak, and never let your guard down.
Adapted from the original Gloomhaven Board Game, this branching campaign of 95 story missions pits your greed against your morality. Many powerful opponents are vying for control over the city of Gloomhaven while others are looking for ancient crypts and forgotten artefacts. You could always side with the inhabitants, but it may not pay well…
Whatever your path may be, it will be paved with difficult choices.
Created in collaboration with the community during the early access, the Guildmaster adventure has more than 160 digital exclusive missions that allow you to experience another facet of Gloomhaven with new storylines, quests, map and NPCs.
Lead your guild of mercenaries in a region overrun by unspeakable things, far worse than simple bandits.
Choose the best combination of mercenaries for each fight and follow their character stories in this deadly new territory.

The game is infested with various EOS(Epic Online Services)-related files. The game can't even reach the main menu without at least the following files being present: com.Epic.OnlineServices.dll com.playeveryware.eos.dll com.playeveryware.eos.core.dll EOSSDK-Win64-Shipping.dll and EOS folder. So, if we want to play even just offline singleplayer, we are required to accept those files running. This is actually very rare behaviour as most games let you remove them, and those games will still work just fine.
This is an excellent game in almost every aspect, even the ambient music is nice to have on in the background whilst studying - BE WARNED HOWEVER that you'll want to purchase the boardgame after playing this for roughly the cost of one kidney, and itll take sixty thousand years to set up and play through. Its all very good, but its all very addictive. Good thing I dont have kids.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Almost 2 years since last update and still full of game breaking bugs.
Шёл 6й год. Ребята так и не смогли починить свой спагетти-код и устранить проблему с порчей сейвов, рассинхронами и невозможностью соединиться в мультиплеере. Не советую, фрустрирует.
The UI is poorly designed, because you must mouse over the abilities names to pull up the card to read the text. And after you do that, you can't mouse over the cards to read the ability names. Unlike real life, where you simply hold the cards and can glance at them at will. Why did they choose this interface instead of a Slay the Spire style hand of cards that you can clearly see? In addition, there is no option to speed up animation time The result is that game takes twice as long to play as it should while you wait for things to happen and check all the abilities one at a time.
got this game years ago and worked sooooo well. Trying to replay in 2025 and constantly disconnecting in multiplayer. How do you make a game work perfectly then absolutely destroy it with updates? It's unplayable in the sense of we cant stay in the game long enough to get through 1 dungeon.
Hey, neat, Gloomhaven is on sale, I say to myself. Maybe this will be a good way to see if it is something I'd enjoy rather than dropping $200+ on the gigantic board game version that is likely to just end up taking up way too much space on a closet shelf. My initial impression is that I have spent over an hour and a half browsing through tiny rules text on a hand-held trying to figure out how in the world to play this and trying to not make a mess of my starting characters and equipment. From the perspective of someone with only a slight familiarity with the board game version, this does a pretty bad job of onboarding someone who is new to the game. This is probably fine for someone who has already played the board game and more or less knows what they are doing but from a new player perspective the learning curve is almost as bad as sitting in front of a giant 30 pound box full of game pieces. For example, the board game has recommended equipment load-outs for new characters. This, however, just presents you with a long list of stuff to buy initially and it is pretty hard to parse what is actually going to be useful. In order to figure out what all the symbols on the equipment mean, you have to dig into the actual in-game rule book as the included tool tip function only tells you what some of the text on the card means. Another serious issue is that this is a little iffy for play on a handheld. Most of my play time is on a Lenovo Legion Go 2 in Windows and while it runs fine and the battery life is fine, the in game text is too small. Not completely illegible but the eye strain is real. I dug around in the options quite a bit and I did not see any options to increase the font size. Thankfully the cards and 3D models are all a reasonable size but the in game rules, story text, etc. are all way too hard to read on a handheld. I also would have expected some of the in game text to have been voice acted but it seems that voiceovers are used sparingly. If I missed a way to make the text bigger please leave a comment as I'd actually still like to play this. It does seem like a pretty solid representation of the board game but wow it has some serious issues and it is really hard to recommend to someone who isn't already inclined to want to play this.
DO NOT PURCHASE GAME ON MAC -- TWIN SAILS STEALING MONEY FROM MAC USERS. You may see 7.5 hrs on my playtime but in fact NONE of that includes real game-playing, unless you count rooting through your system files and scouring online forums as gameplay. This game IS NOT COMPATIBLE ON MAC. And it is wrong that it is advertised as such. That wouldn't be such an issue if you could return the game but, unfortunately, the most common fix recommended by both the software developers and online forums is to wait at least an hour the first time you load in (which is required also on Windows) meaning, once you have done this and seen that the game DOES NOT WORK, you are also locked out of the return window. I have contacted Twin Sails support and they left me out to dry: simply recommending I do the same simple troubleshooting step that every forum or article recommends (which, of course, was the first thing I had already tried) and apologizing that returns were, unfortunately, just out of their hands. In other words, they took my 17 bucks and skedaddled, probably laughing as they did. The only recourse I have left is this: warning others to not deal with these good-for-nothings.
No text size or UI scaling options. And much of the text is grey on gold background, or the cards are white on almost white background, which is horrible. I changed the resolution, but it's still pretty borderline for me to comfortably see, and considering how much I'd have to read to learn the game, I can't really play. Not terribly impressed with what I saw otherwise as combat seemed rather slow (with slow music to match). And surprisingly basic graphics & character models. But without some text options I'll never know if it could have been good or not. I was also kinda "scouting" the game for coop potential but I can tell that'd also be a no from what little I saw. That's combined with all the dozens and dozens of negative reviews mentioning desync issues.
