About
Glitched Out tells the story of IT Engineer ‘Lex’, who wakes in a government research facility to learn a malware has run rampant. The facility is home to many alien entities who have escaped containment and now stalk our hapless hero through the complex. Lex’s only hope is to team up with an A.I companion known as ‘Chip’ and hack her way to freedom. Along the way Lex and Chip encounter a host of entities, both friendly and hostile, as they seek to uncover the mysterious origin of the security outbreak. (*No actual A.I used in the creation of this game!)
The Federal Bureau of Containment was set up to house the many terrifying horrors of the cosmos. Now these monsterous entities have escaped confinement and rampage around the facility unchecked. Lex must use her wits, and ever growing arsenal of tech upgrades, to evade and combat these horrifying creatures.
Glitched Out features a nifty hacking device known as the 'Portable Glitch Fixer'. Via a selection of hacking mini-games, this handy tool allows users to fix corrupted power units on the fly and restore power to the facility. With a little help from state of the art A.I companion 'Chip', that is.
Glitched Out is an episodic horror game. The story unfolds chapter by chapter. Lore is revealed via cutscenes, environmental storytelling, audio recordings and secret notes. Uncover the truth behind the sinister goings-on at the Federal Bureau of Containment.. if you dare.
Running through corridors to escape from ant monster, hacking consoles by solving puzzles and plenty of mysterious rooms. I glitched out for a while but now I'm ok.
great but lowkey kinda clunky
Been a fan of SupperHorrorBro for years, and was pretty excited when he announced his first horror game. For a first game this is actually pretty good. The style kind of gives me Bendy vibes (I don't know why), The Gameplay is basic there's more walking then I wanted it to be but It's fine, and I noticed you can't jump in this game there's probably a reason so I wouldn't ask why, the puzzles are actually really good (love them), The enemies are kind of basic and average for me (in my opinion) but still pretty good, The voice acting is pretty good but Lex's voice kind of sounds... dead inside in a way :/ but I dunno, The sequences are short but sweet - an enemy that's blind, and a different enemy that retreats when we blind them pretty good enemy mechanics :), Lex is not the BEST protagonist mainly because I can't take her seriously with that voice of hers but besides that she's alright, Chip is really good I love him, the main "mechanic" is Chip himself with that tool he's inside - basically gives you access to the machines where you do the puzzles, and a different use where you install a "flashlight" of some kind and use it as... well a flashlight and you can also blind enemies with that flashlight, The Soundtracks are amazing, the lore is REALLY good, the atmosphere is also really good, found 3 minor bugs, the movement is pretty slow even while sprinting It's pretty slow so I would just press W and A or D to speed it up a little, and the final chase - basic and short but that's what you expect for a 1st chapter so I will not say It's the worst chase scene ever. overall a really good game/first game/first chapter, this definitely has a lot of potential, and can't wait for Chapter 2 (if he decides to make it) 7.5/10 would recommend

NOT SCARY SLOW PLAYER NOT FUN PUZZIZS good story fun boss's and good charters
I really like the Super Horror Bro channel and I really wanted to get into this game but the character (Lex) moves extremely slowly and the puzzles are just boring and confusing I feel really bad saying this but it’s not good at all 2/10
Great Horror game the story is intriguing and makes me want more. Who is Lex and what happened to the facility. The entities are scary but not impossible to avoid. Please make more chapters!
It's okay. Just needs lots of polish. Artstyle was my favorite part and it fit tonally well with the comedic vibe. I didn't like that you had to Spoiler:
trade human body parts in order to progress the game
made me a lil uncomfortable. Maybe there's a deeper meaning to making us ignore that. haha. But otherwise I can see the heart behind the project and hope SHB keeps going at it with future releases. Ooh also it was often laggy when sharp turning around even in low settings
Good concept, nice story... But terrible gameplay.
I didn't get to finish the game. The hacking minigame is way too hard and goes way too fast. Specifically the one where you have to press E to match the rows 3 times or start over. I'd like to see the rest of your game, but not if I have to deal with that. Not everyone has beyond lightning fast robot reflexes and there doesn't seem to be any way around playing that stupid mini game. I'm sorry but this is a game ending feature for me.
a really charming horror game with some great ideas! you can tell it had a ton of love put into it, especially in terms of the side characters and worldbuilding. most of the textures are hand-drawn, and the aesthetic works surprisingly well within a horror setting. i wouldn't say it's particularly scary in terms of threat to the player, since the main enemy is very straightforward to deal with and looks a little too cartoonish to take seriously. then again, it kind of fits with the tone, which often leans into satire. for the most part, this game is a ton of fun. but there's one caveat... and his name is chip. he has a cute design. his dialogue is often witty. he has so many unique and expressive sprites for different situations that you might not even notice half of them in one playthrough. he also will. not. shut. up. i'm convinced at least third of the game's playtime consists of this guy delivering unskippable exposition about something the player already figured out two minutes prior. (the protagonist is often guilty of this as well.) sure, there are some funny quips thrown in here and there, but they don't disguise the fact that he slows the pace of the game to a halt every time he 'talks'. the narrative would feel so much smoother if his lines were trimmed down to be more succinct and less hand-hold-y. then there's the hacking, which is the main gameplay gimmick. it's cool in theory, and the puzzles are well-balanced, but each hack requires three of them to be completed in a row, and it makes you restart from the previous one if you fail. it becomes tedious very quickly, and even more so when you're in a hostile area, where it just kills all the tension (even though the enemy can never kill you while you're hacking). aside from that, though, this game is bursting with potential. it definitely deserved a lot more attention, and it's genuine a shame this is the last we'll see of this project.
