About

When the game starts, notes fall down in sync with the music.
You must press the correct key at the right time, when the note reaches the judgment line, to process it.

There are two types of notes: White notes and yellow notes.

To process a yellow note, you should press a key in the Q row of the keyboard,
And to process a white note, you should press a key in the A row of the keyboard.

The more accurate your timing is when you press the key, the better your judgment will be.
You will gain or lose life depending on this judgment.

If the timing is correct but the keyboard row does not match the note color, an OFF judgment will be given.
You lose less life than a MISS, but be careful as it breaks your combo.

Long notes refer to notes with a tail.
You process them by holding down the key for the entire length of the tail.

If you finish the song with some life remaining, it will count as cleared. Pay attention to your life and try to complete each stage!

Honestly rlly fun, I got through the entire story and I enjoyed the demo before the early access release too Some optimizations would be appreciated tho, I'd love to have a lag-free experience without nuking my resolution

great game tho there a re a few bugs that need fixing like some plays not being recorded and some stuttering but overall very good and fun game escpecially for free
Love the gameplay and the music 10/10, but was too hard for me xD.
Nice chill rhythm game for beginners / experienced players, the 2 colour gimmick is interesting and takes time to grasp. Once you get used to it , the gameplay becomes more relaxing but still challenging.
fun but crashes sometimes :(
Developer and publisher Team Charlotte deliver Glisynth as a free-to-play rhythm game that introduces a refreshing variation on the genre by emphasizing color recognition alongside musical timing. Rather than relying solely on traditional note lanes, the game challenges players to react to two different note colors, assigning each to a separate row of keyboard inputs. This simple concept dramatically changes how players process incoming patterns, requiring both quick reflexes and constant visual awareness. The result is a rhythm experience that feels familiar enough for genre veterans while offering a unique mechanical identity that distinguishes it from more conventional music games. The core gameplay is built around precision and consistency. Players must strike notes as they reach the judgment line while maintaining accuracy to preserve combos and maximize scores. Beyond standard taps, Glisynth incorporates hold notes that require sustained inputs, adding variety to its song charts and encouraging careful timing throughout each performance. One of the game's most interesting mechanics is its handling of incorrect color inputs. If a player presses the wrong key row while maintaining correct timing, the game registers an "OFF" judgment instead of a complete miss. Although this still breaks the combo and lowers the score, it is less punishing than a full mistake, rewarding players who have mastered rhythm but still need to improve their color recognition. This subtle design choice creates a satisfying learning curve where every play session helps refine multiple skills at once. Content-wise, Glisynth offers a respectable amount of material even during its Early Access period. Players have access to over twenty songs, each featuring three difficulty settings that accommodate beginners, intermediate players, and experienced rhythm enthusiasts. This structure makes the game accessible without sacrificing depth, allowing newcomers to gradually develop confidence while giving skilled players increasingly demanding note patterns to conquer. The replay value comes naturally through score improvement, combo optimization, and the pursuit of higher accuracy ratings, encouraging repeated attempts on favorite tracks. Unlike many arcade-focused rhythm games, Glisynth also includes a Story Mode that provides narrative context alongside its musical challenges. Instead of presenting songs as isolated levels, the game gradually unfolds its world through story chapters that expand as development continues. This narrative component adds extra motivation for players who appreciate progression beyond leaderboard rankings. Team Charlotte has stated that both the storyline and soundtrack will continue to grow throughout Early Access, making the current release feel like the beginning of a much larger project rather than a finished but static experience. Another notable strength is the game's consumer-friendly approach. Glisynth is completely free to play and does not rely on paid song packs, premium upgrades, or microtransactions. The developers describe the project as a non-profit endeavor, ensuring that future content additions will remain available at no additional cost. This decision makes the game highly accessible while allowing players to focus entirely on improving their performance instead of worrying about purchasing extra content. It is a refreshing philosophy that helps Glisynth stand out in a genre where downloadable music packs often become a significant long-term expense. Visually, the game adopts a colorful anime-inspired presentation that prioritizes readability during gameplay. The contrasting note colors remain easy to distinguish even as patterns become more complex, while the interface stays clean enough to avoid distracting players from the music. Combined with lightweight system requirements and responsive controls, the presentation supports the fast-paced gameplay without unnecessary visual clutter. While the artistic direction may not be groundbreaking, it successfully complements the game's mechanics and keeps the focus on rhythmic precision. Since the game is still in Early Access, there are naturally areas where additional content and refinement would strengthen the overall experience. Fortunately, the developers appear committed to long-term support, with plans to expand the soundtrack, continue the story, introduce more gameplay features, and actively incorporate community feedback. Frequent updates already demonstrate that development is progressing steadily, giving players confidence that the game will continue evolving over time. Overall, Glisynth succeeds by taking a familiar genre and introducing an inventive twist that rewards both musical timing and visual awareness. Its unique control system, satisfying progression of difficulty, engaging score-chasing gameplay, and generous free-to-play model combine to create a rhythm game that feels both accessible and rewarding. Although it remains a work in progress, the existing content already offers an enjoyable experience, and its planned expansions make its future especially promising. Players looking for a fresh rhythm game with distinctive mechanics and a developer committed to ongoing improvements will find Glisynth well worth their time. Rating: 8/10
