BLACK STIGMA is a competitive free-to-play multiplayer shooter developed and published by BoldPlay Games that attempts to blend the structure of hero shooters with the intensity of close-quarters brawler combat. Set within a stylized criminal underworld, the game focuses on highly skilled assassins known as “Masters,” each competing to establish dominance in a violent network of rival fighters. By mixing firearms with hand-to-hand combat and character-specific abilities, the game aims to deliver a hybrid style of PvP gameplay that stands apart from more conventional shooters. The narrative premise revolves around the idea of elite fighters carrying a mysterious mark known as a stigma. Within the game’s lore, this mark symbolizes the rivalry between assassins operating in the same territory. When a player gains notoriety, they attract attention from other powerful fighters seeking to challenge them. This concept forms the thematic backbone of the game, presenting each match as a personal contest between skilled competitors rather than a large-scale military conflict. Although the story elements are mostly conveyed through character backgrounds and worldbuilding rather than a structured campaign, they help establish a gritty atmosphere centered on underground combat and power struggles. Gameplay centers on multiplayer matches where players select a Master from a roster of characters, each designed with unique combat abilities and playstyles. Some Masters specialize in fast movement and aggressive close-range fighting, while others rely on accurate gunplay or tactical positioning to dominate opponents. These differences create a hero-shooter style structure where team composition and individual mastery both play important roles in determining the outcome of a match. The most distinctive aspect of BLACK STIGMA is its combat system, which integrates melee fighting directly into the core gameplay loop. While firearms remain the primary weapons in many situations, players are also capable of engaging enemies through punches, kicks, grapples, and weapon-based melee attacks. Encounters can shift rapidly between ranged firefights and chaotic close-quarters combat, requiring players to adapt quickly depending on the situation. This mixture of combat styles gives the game a more physical and aggressive feel compared to traditional shooters that rely solely on guns. Matches take place across a variety of compact urban environments designed to encourage both strategic movement and sudden ambushes. Locations such as abandoned buildings, industrial facilities, and underground transit areas provide a mixture of narrow corridors and open spaces that support different tactical approaches. Vertical elements such as staircases, rooftops, and elevated platforms allow skilled players to gain positional advantages during firefights. Learning the layout of each map becomes an important skill for anticipating enemy movement and controlling key areas during matches. The game offers several multiplayer modes that emphasize different types of competition. Traditional team battles pit two groups of players against each other in fast-paced skirmishes where coordination and positioning are essential. Smaller team formats create more intense encounters where individual performance carries greater weight. There are also modes built around objective-based gameplay, encouraging teams to secure specific locations or collect resources while fighting off opponents. In addition, a duel mode allows players to face each other in one-on-one battles that highlight pure mechanical skill. Character customization allows players to adjust their equipment and abilities to suit different strategies. Weapons can be selected or upgraded to emphasize accuracy, firepower, or mobility depending on the preferred playstyle. Character abilities further shape how each Master performs in combat, offering options such as enhanced movement skills, defensive techniques, or powerful special attacks. This flexibility encourages experimentation as players discover combinations that best fit their approach to competitive play. Visually, BLACK STIGMA features a stylized aesthetic that emphasizes dramatic character design and fluid combat animation. The Masters themselves are designed with distinctive personalities and visual traits that make them recognizable on the battlefield. Bold color palettes and dynamic visual effects highlight important moments during combat, such as special abilities or finishing attacks. While the overall graphical style leans toward a modern comic-book aesthetic rather than strict realism, it successfully reinforces the high-energy tone of the game. The sound design contributes significantly to the intensity of the matches. Weapon fire, melee strikes, and environmental interactions are accompanied by strong audio feedback that helps players track the flow of combat. Character voice lines and sound effects reinforce the competitive atmosphere, making each encounter feel personal and immediate. Combined with energetic background music, the audio design helps maintain a sense of momentum during chaotic battles. Because BLACK STIGMA is still evolving through its Early Access phase, the overall experience continues to develop. Updates from the developers frequently introduce balance changes, new characters, and adjustments to combat mechanics based on community feedback. This ongoing development process means that the game may feel somewhat uneven in certain areas, particularly when it comes to balancing the different Masters or expanding the available content. Some players may also notice that the number of maps and playable characters is still relatively limited compared to long-established multiplayer shooters. Additionally, the competitive nature of the game can create a steep learning curve for newcomers who must quickly adapt to both shooting mechanics and melee combat systems. However, these challenges are typical for multiplayer games that emphasize skill-based competition. Despite these growing pains, BLACK STIGMA demonstrates a clear ambition to offer something different within the crowded hero-shooter genre. Its hybrid combat system introduces moments of unpredictability where ranged battles can instantly transform into close-quarters brawls. This constant shift between combat styles keeps matches energetic and encourages players to develop a wide range of tactical skills. Ultimately, BLACK STIGMA presents an interesting interpretation of the competitive shooter formula. By blending firearms with hand-to-hand combat and emphasizing character-driven gameplay, it creates a distinctive PvP experience that feels both chaotic and strategic. While the Early Access status means the game still has room for improvement in terms of balance and content variety, its core ideas already show strong potential. For players who enjoy multiplayer shooters that reward quick reflexes, aggressive tactics, and character specialization, BLACK STIGMA offers a fast-paced competitive experience that stands out from more conventional hero shooters. With continued development and expansion, it has the potential to grow into a unique and engaging entry in the multiplayer action genre. Rating: 7/10
Какой ужас. И такие заведомо мёртвые игры всё ещё выпускают.
game is trash as*
Couldn't play this game in time, only bot games. I must say i didn't like characters, overall graphic and gameplay.... If this game get better design it could be better, for now its big NO from me.
So happy this game is dying (or already dead), as usual lobbies full of bots, characters are so uninspiring and lame, mechanics and powerups make little to no sense and are heavily unbalanced, and it seems like all the enemies have aimbot and can never miss no matter which gun you have equipped. This "game" is complete garbage and should be avoided at all costs, good-bye "Black Trash", may u rest in piss :)
