Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports

My girlfriend, my brother and my friends, we all really liked playing their ''Gigantosaurus Dino Kart'' game, so I thought this would be another hit for our local multiplayer games parties. This game seems fun and would recommend it to play with friends or your kid, if there wasn't a bug where the game detects all of my PlayStation DS4 and/or my Xbox 360 controllers, but it recognizes them all as one and the same controller... so you can play the same character with any connected controller and all connected controllers at once, basically single player, but you can't play with friends each their own character as local multiplayer. The game doesn't recognize different controllers as different controllers, but all as one and the same controller. If you don't intend to buy the game for a local multiplayer experience, but just for the single player, for example for your kid playing alone,I recommend the game... I guess.

This game is GODDANG awful!!! The controls suck, and the RNG is bad BAD BAD! It's even worse than MARIO PARTY! If you get this game you must HATE your children!

+ voice acting + solid animation + keyboard support. a lot of the Outright Games are missing it. - well you can use the keyboard all of the prompts are in xbox form so you need to remember the keys - cant play local co-op with keyboard and controller. + 9 cutscenes - 8 unique but still very basic and short minigames - 40$ - bug where you start every level in practice mode and to start you need to press Y. hit every button on my xbox controller at least 4 times and it wouldnt work. had to press the Y keyboard button to start every time. - 1 minigame where you use the right stick to shoot. sensitivity for it is set to 99 on a scale of 1 to 10. no way to adjust in game thats it, thats the whole game bug where you need to press

Usually I'm not that type of guy who writes reviews, but I feel like I have to warn others. Imo the developers skipped alpha and beta and published the game straight away once it "seemed" working. They probably coded and tested the game on a single machine. I have a fairly modern gaming PC (Windows 11) with an original wireless Microsoft controller and still nothing, really nothing works. Can't set any resolution, can't use Y key on controller, instead needed "Esc" button on the keyboard. Can't stop the testing phase prior to the competition, therfore can't really play the game. And for quitting the game I needed Alt+F4. Nothing really works, except the animations themselves. Shame on the Publisher as well, publishing such a piece of crap without checking. I got this with a bundle on Humble, therefore can't return it. One thing I know for sure, since most of the other games, also published by Outright Games, are not that much better, never again Outright Games. Have a good one...

Honestly, solid kids game. I experienced 0 bugs other than the controller layout on steam was wrong, but I was able to fix it easily from the shift tab menu. For kids, this game will provide hours of fun, and can be played with the whole family. Out of the other outright games games I've played so far, one of the best ones in terms of child enjoyment

The control issues mentioned in the other reviews are actually steam's fault: the game has controller support but Steam says it doesn't so it makes you use a bad setup from Steam Input. If you disable that in Steam settings before launching, controllers work flawlessly. That said, the multiplayer version is just Mario Party with only six minigames. The minigames are good, but absolutely not worth 40 bucks

The game itself isn't bad, it's what you would expect for a game for small children. But the game is really broken, the controller support sucks with not every button mapped. A kid cannot play on their own without other person helping from the keyboard.

My 5 yesr old son doesn't enjoy it but for parents, the controls are broken on pc controllers, especially the FPS stage. The wrong stick is shown on the tutorial for aiming, it uses the right stick for some reason, and on controller it is insanely sensitive. Also, you can't find the full list of controls in game, Z is the equivalent of a B button which is needed for one of the stages and for the life of me I can't find the button on the controller that the game recognizes as the B button. Unless you get it in a bundle, the price is too much.
