Bugs or Proglems? Please contact me at Contact@GhostlyHorizon.com I'm the developer of Ghostly Horizon, I notice that some reviews are just bugs for individual people. The problem is that I cannot get in contact with the reviewers to get a bug-report or to solve the bug.. Steam leaves no way to contact a reviewer unfortunately other than sending a friends request! EctoMeow: The malware detection is most likely because the game starts another executable, both when you play the game and when you want to start Matchmaking, and the matchmaker will also create a new file on the computer that includes the matched servers IP so that the game can read that file and connect to the IP. This is not a bug or a malware it is just your malware program being very strict. Nanawo99: This is due to de-sync between the Client and the Server. When playing Solo a Server is launched on your computer that the Client connects to, this is because the game is designed as a multiplayer game that allows singleplayer. I would love to know if this still happends when you try again since you only have 0.1h as playtime.. And what happends when you play on official online servers. As said, please don't put bugs here in the review, come to me with them instead so I can solve them!

The core of the game is already here. Cast a number of different spells at the evil carrots (ghosts?) who are trying to kill you. Enjoy the super cool mini map globe. A really cool title with a lot of room to grow. https://youtu.be/dYk0LeFZ5cs
I hope for update. great map great game
Fun game, with battles that quickly becomes really intense.
Particularly if you play solo. However the game is made to be played with multiple players and I have the most fun when I play with friends (or foes). I like that the stats can be changed from battle to battle, since it alows for a quicker adaptation to your preffered play style compared to the slower method of leveling. I have never played on a spherical world before, and navigation took some getting used to. But after a few hours of game time it feels very natural. The spherical world alows for free movement in a way you can never achieve on a flat world. I would love to try the game in PvP mode with maximum players! How will the strategy develop? I think it will be pretty tricky. I like the rich colours and the low poly style. The characters are cute but quite bland, and I am looking forward to the improved characters - hopefully they will look closer to the games art. All in all a nice little game. :)
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
Ghostly Horizon was a third-person spell-casting action game played on small, round planets. There isn't a narrative; the game is centered on match-based combat. Players battle using a selection of spells in modes like survival or player-versus-player, requiring some skill and teamwork. The quality is garbage tier. So, Ghostly Horizon is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the . They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The developers abandoned this 6 years and 8 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on unfinished, low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. This is a slap in the face to anyone naive enough to back this project thinking the developer would make good on their promises. Instead, the developers kept the money from all the backers they scammed. Not a single cent has been refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
The creator abandoned his small community, a cool looking game down the drain
Game is unplayable on mac for me. Glitch in game in which unable to move foward because I keep getting pulled back in my original position even in solo.
My first impression of this game was one that wasn’t fair to the developer and the game itself. I had issues in the beginning and only after speaking with the developer and actually playing the game did I realize that this game is SUPER FUN and I recommend getting it!! It has AMAZING potential and I hope to see this game BOOM!!! I appreciate the developer getting back to me on this issue. Much respect there it shows true dedication. Also I have to say that after I tried playing the game again it worked fine. The game is early access so it comes with the usual things that are pretty normal, for example: the game runs pretty smooth but something I'd like is the option to invert the camera, I'm a strange one and I can't play without inverting the Y axis. I can't wait to see what the new models for the characters look like and I hope that this game continues to grow. I love ghosts and I love the concept of this game!!!
