Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 11 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
🎮 In-Depth Review of Gevaudan – Developed by Nicolas Bernard

Overall Rating: 8.5/10 Genre: Horror / Suspense / Survival Platform: PC Developer: Nicolas Bernard Language: French (original), with English options Average Playtime: 30–60 minutes 🌕 Premise & Atmosphere Inspired by real historical events — the terrifying legend of the Beast of Gévaudan that haunted 18th-century France — Gevaudan immerses the player in a dark, suffocating atmosphere. The rural setting, thick fog, and eerie darkness contribute to a constant feeling of fear and vulnerability. The historical recreation is simple but effective. Nicolas Bernard smartly uses visual limitations to enhance immersion with light, shadow, and highly effective sound design. The low-poly art style doesn’t hinder the experience — in fact, it creates a nightmarish tone that fits the game perfectly. 🧠 Gameplay Gevaudan’s gameplay is intentionally minimalist. The player explores a dense, dangerous forest, trying to escape (or survive) an encounter with the legendary beast. There are no powerful weapons, no superhuman abilities — just instinct and caution. Vulnerability is a core mechanic. The game relies heavily on tension, with few cheap jumpscares and a stronger focus on psychological horror. The creature rarely appears, but its presence is always felt — distant howls, subtle movements, and glimpses in the shadows keep you on edge throughout. Controls are simple and intuitive, letting the player focus on the experience without technical distractions. There’s a good balance between exploration and scripted events, which keeps the pacing tight even during short play sessions. 🔊 Sound & Audio Design One of Gevaudan’s strongest elements is its sound design. Ambient noises are organic, oppressive, and crucial to the overall atmosphere. Snapping branches, whispering wind, and sudden silences create mounting anxiety. There’s almost no background music, which is a smart choice. Silence becomes a narrative tool as powerful as any score — and Bernard uses this to full effect. 🎨 Art Direction While the game uses a low-fidelity visual style, its art direction makes up for it in spades. Cold colors, strategic lighting, and clever use of fog and visual distortion create a world that is both beautiful and terrifying. Don’t expect hyper-realistic environments, but rather visuals that evoke feeling — which is far more important in a psychological horror experience. 🐺 The Creature The "Beast" is one of the game’s best-executed elements. It doesn’t appear frequently, which builds mystique and unpredictability. When it finally does show up, the impact is unforgettable. Its design is grotesque and animalistic, blending wolf and demonic features — a fitting tribute to the original legend. There is no direct combat with the creature, which makes it even scarier. The player can only run, hide, and hope not to be seen. This feeling of helplessness is intentional and key to the game's power. 🧩 Narrative The story is told subtly — through the environment, small texts, and visual clues. There are no long cutscenes or hand-holding. This rewards players who are curious and observant, and encourages personal interpretation by the end. The tone is tragic and melancholic, like an old legend whispered around a fire. The game doesn’t hand out easy answers, which may frustrate some, but for fans of suggestive, atmospheric storytelling, it’s deeply satisfying. ✅ Highlights Extremely immersive and tense atmosphere Top-tier sound design Subtle and engaging narrative Unique aesthetic that enhances psychological horror Excellent use of the Beast of Gévaudan legend Short but emotionally impactful experience ❗ Minor Drawbacks Lack of subtitle options may limit accessibility Difficulty may frustrate less experienced players Low replay value (short, linear experience) No tutorials or clear guidance may cause early confusion 🎯 Conclusion Gevaudan is a rare indie horror gem: short, intense, and unforgettable. Nicolas Bernard demonstrates remarkable skill in creating an atmospheric experience that doesn’t rely on hyper-realistic visuals or cheap scares. It’s a game that respects the player’s intelligence, uses silence as a weapon, and turns a forgotten legend into a visceral, emotional experience. Highly recommended for fans of psychological horror, narrative-driven survival games, or those looking for something truly unique. If you enjoy games like The Rake, Mundaun, or The Beast Inside, you’ll likely appreciate Gevaudan deeply.

Jogo é meio bizarro, mas da uns susto da hora! tem que fugir do lobisomem enquanto ele tenta comer o cara kkk
Gevaudan is an actually interesting game with an intriguing plot and game play. You begin by looking for a place during a night of snow, very dark and the only path is numbered lamps. At times they seem to go in order, though for the most part they are scattered. Similar to the Witch Hunt wolf beast level but without weapons. Scary game.

After a getting just nowhere close to reaching the goal, the monster spawns out of nowhere and kills you. Every single time. Eeh.
Is this a last one of Nicolas Bernard's games before retired and gave up on Steam?
