About
Inspired by games such as: Ready or Not, Ground Branch, CoD: Modern Warfare and Insurgency: Sandstorm. GERONIMO is a highly realistic, tactical and immersive CQB shooter that has been built from the ground up for Virtual Reality. Play Solo, or with your friends and carry out your operations through our missions, some even inspired by real world raids.
Whether deploying solo or with a full 6-player squad, Geronimo brings unforgiving tactical shooter gameplay into VR, where careful movement, clear communication, and calculated teamwork are essential. Train with your team in dedicated practice environments, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and customizable killhouses built for refining your tactics before the real mission begins.
In GERONIMO, your equipment is built around how you want to operate. Shape your operator’s look, choose your clothing and armor, then fine-tune your weapons and rig with a high level of control. Position pouches where they make sense, configure your vest for the role you’re playing, and set up each weapon platform with the attachments and layout that fit your style.
Every choice has a practical impact once you’re in VR. A heavier setup can slow you down and make long engagements more demanding. Poor optic placement can make target acquisition harder. A full-length rifle may give you reach in open spaces, but become awkward when clearing tight rooms. Your loadout is not just cosmetic — it defines how you move, fight, and survive.
Every weapon is built with a focus on physical interaction, mechanical detail, and believable handling in VR. Firearms are not treated as simple props — they are systems you manipulate by hand, with actions such as manual bolt locking, magazine changes, charging, and slide operation designed to feel deliberate and responsive.
A high level of animation and interaction work supports each weapon platform, from carefully authored hand poses to moving parts that behave as expected during operation. Slides cycle with accurate barrel movement, controls are placed and handled with intention, and small details are modeled so that using a weapon feels tactile rather than abstract. The result is a gunplay system where precision, familiarity, and muscle memory matter.
Sharpen your skills outside of live missions with dedicated IPSC-style courses and a range of killhouse options built for practice, speed, and friendly competition. Run timed shooting challenges to test accuracy under pressure, compare routes with teammates, and refine the fundamentals that matter most in VR: target acquisition, weapon handling, movement, and control.
Killhouses offer a more tactical way to train, with layouts suited for room clearing, angles, communication, and close-quarters decision-making. Whether you are warming up before an operation, drilling with your squad, or competing for the fastest clean run, Geronimo gives players flexible training spaces where improvement is measurable and rivalry stays friendly.

beast game mil sim shooter
Most realistic guns I've used in vr. Needs a few improvements but definitely would recommend.
So I have officially tried out Geronimo. I honestly see the appeal. I am obviously still learning the ropes of the game but here are my listed out thoughts. 1). The customization is amazing. I love being able to fine tune what attachments I want along with little to no restrictions of what I can have. Along with being bale to place things on the vest where they seem most fit. Downside, I can't move around my weapons on my kit. (Or maybe I haven't a clue as to how to do that if it is a feature.) I also love the ability to customize almost any little bit of my character as well. Fairly generic military stuff but its still peak since I can choose colors of individual pieces. Downsides, I don't have a lot of weapon choices. Though I am leaving it to early release. The weapons all feel relatively the same. Nothing special about them other than the ability to put picatinny attachments vs non pic attachments. (Especially like that you actually need to keep both eyes open for the magnifiers to work properly.) 2). Gunplay is a little clunky. Though realistic. The weapons move as if they have no weight to them so its a little harder to stabilize a clean shot and if you got shaky hands (like me) its hard to make longer distance shots. I haven't figured out if there is mag palming or not but it would make most engagements more fluid and allow to conserve ammo a bit better and retain some mags. 3). The enemies are super bugged. They start engaging even without seeing you. Unless they can hear your footsteps or microphone or something. I haven't been able to accurately test it out. But I am fairly sure they are able to react to your flashlight and laser especially in the dark. 4). Collisions are also in the lacking area. Hands don't collide with doors and some walls. The breaching tools have funky collisions and clip into the doors and makes it hard to do literally anything breaching wise. You are better off using the breaching shotgun and pushing the door open with your gun since you can't with your hands. In the end, the game has potential. As of right now, the game is in an unpolished state and makes it hard for me to play it by myself and seems like more of a game to goof off with some buddies for a bit instead of it being a tactical shooter. But, I can see if you were to go into a match with someone or some people you work well with or know well enough in tactical situations, things might be a bit smoother.
Very early still but def recommend a bit intensive tho
The game a has a lot of potential but as you might expect from an early access game, it has it's issues. My first issue is the bug that doesn't let you use enemy weapons unless you holster them first; Speaking of enemies, the AI is REALLY inconsistent. Bots sometimes see through doors, they also either just sit in place and do nothing or run around like coke addicts doing fricking jiggle peaks and one tapping me from across the map, same goes for their reaction time, either they don't realise i'm standing right in front of them or they tap me instantly upon eye contact. Also light levels don't seem to impact their line of sight at all, it can be pitch black and they can still see everything from miles away, making night mode basically useless since you're the only one who's blind, the enemies inside a room also seem to get instantly alerted to your position the second you touch the door knob, I wish there were more ways to open locked doors (lockpicks etc.) instead of just having to blast them open with a shotgun and things like that, more like Ready or Not (which makes stealth basically impossible, which also makes me sad since i think it would fit perfectly in this kind of game :p). That brings me to another issue; The lighting in this game is very weird, shadows are almost pitch black and at the other hand flashlights are so bright you can barely see anything anyways within at least like 5 meters. Besides that, the gun mechanics (with one exception*) and sound design are amazing, the models are very well made and the sound of bullets passing by can really send some chills down your spine. *The mentioned exception being the AK74, i despise reloading this thing, mags constantly clip through the gun, and then sometimes just get launched into space; trying to hit the perfect spot in which they start interacting with the gun is a pain in the ass and for some reason you can't do a tactical reload like with any other gun, instead you have to throw the current mag on the ground, load a new one, and then crouch down to pick up the old one, considering it didn't fall through the floor in the meantime. I'd also love more world interactions and destructible items, like in HL Alyx, where you can destroy, pick up or throw almost everything that isn't bolted to the ground :D Graphics wise, besides the lighting issues, the game looks perfectly fine imo. Overall I like where the game is going and I'm really curious how it will evolve in the future.
This game has the most immerse shooting in VR 10\10
runs just fine for me, great gunplay, running on every graphic setting on high (not epic) and it runs perfectly fine. on a quest 3s with pc link.
