About
Inspired by games such as: Ready or Not, Ground Branch, CoD: Modern Warfare and Insurgency: Sandstorm. GERONIMO is a highly realistic, tactical and immersive CQB shooter that has been built from the ground up for Virtual Reality. Play Solo, or with your friends and carry out your operations through our missions, some even inspired by real world raids.
Whether deploying solo or with a full 6-player squad, Geronimo brings unforgiving tactical shooter gameplay into VR, where careful movement, clear communication, and calculated teamwork are essential. Train with your team in dedicated practice environments, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and customizable killhouses built for refining your tactics before the real mission begins.
In GERONIMO, your equipment is built around how you want to operate. Shape your operator’s look, choose your clothing and armor, then fine-tune your weapons and rig with a high level of control. Position pouches where they make sense, configure your vest for the role you’re playing, and set up each weapon platform with the attachments and layout that fit your style.
Every choice has a practical impact once you’re in VR. A heavier setup can slow you down and make long engagements more demanding. Poor optic placement can make target acquisition harder. A full-length rifle may give you reach in open spaces, but become awkward when clearing tight rooms. Your loadout is not just cosmetic — it defines how you move, fight, and survive.
Every weapon is built with a focus on physical interaction, mechanical detail, and believable handling in VR. Firearms are not treated as simple props — they are systems you manipulate by hand, with actions such as manual bolt locking, magazine changes, charging, and slide operation designed to feel deliberate and responsive.
A high level of animation and interaction work supports each weapon platform, from carefully authored hand poses to moving parts that behave as expected during operation. Slides cycle with accurate barrel movement, controls are placed and handled with intention, and small details are modeled so that using a weapon feels tactile rather than abstract. The result is a gunplay system where precision, familiarity, and muscle memory matter.
Sharpen your skills outside of live missions with dedicated IPSC-style courses and a range of killhouse options built for practice, speed, and friendly competition. Run timed shooting challenges to test accuracy under pressure, compare routes with teammates, and refine the fundamentals that matter most in VR: target acquisition, weapon handling, movement, and control.
Killhouses offer a more tactical way to train, with layouts suited for room clearing, angles, communication, and close-quarters decision-making. Whether you are warming up before an operation, drilling with your squad, or competing for the fastest clean run, Geronimo gives players flexible training spaces where improvement is measurable and rivalry stays friendly.

This game is amazing, very good, and just probably places number one for the best VR shooter I've EVER played and i can say that with my heart. This game has a few bugs that they should tweak and ill name that in a second. But first i want to talk about Detail. The detail with everything is so realistic its crazy, they have hand animations for going full auto, semi auto, or on safety. Not to mention when you press A to release your mag there's an animation for your hand pressing the little button. Smoothness is amazing, i dont have a really good graphics card, and it handles graphics even worse on steam vr, but when i tell you the game runs soo smooth with such good graphics i mean it. Now lets get to the problems i have with this, one thing me and my buddy came to notice is that there is a lack of sneakiness. 1. Npcs usually shout immediately shout when they notice you're there, which gets rid of the suprise factor 2. enemies do a lot of damage and have insanely good aim from far away, which they should make it so the enemies arent as accurate as they are from far away 3. Game cursed my hb
this is just a vr ground branch, which is very fun. the jank is pretty funny, and i spent around 20 minutes flabbergasting people with my gun made purely of risers. no annoying small children who spawnkill like TAVR oh yeah, the guns feel better than games like h3. literally the best guns i have used in vr
buy ittt
genuinely the best, most fun and realistic tac vr shooter out there, guns feel really good, so do all the gadgets , nvgs are really well done, great character and weapon customization, getting to create your own kit is really good and its not like setting up the vest like in tac assualt vr, where you can move where your ammo and nades sit, but in this you fully get to customize how much ammo, grenades, breaching charges flashbangs and ect you choose to carry, it could use a few new weapons, maybe some more optics, a medical system would be quite handy too, have like a blowout pouch atleast, and for the night missions a breaker on houses you can use to turn off the lights but for a game that only just launched this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing and cant wait for more to come
Game is super good the only downsides I had problems with was mags just disappearing (my friend not me) and that the frames and the lag were super bad I have a really bad cpu so yes I should upgrade but ive heard even from other people optimization would really help this game.
If you want a really cool realistic milsim shooter this is for you The only Gripes i have with it are bugs such as 1. Equipment not spawning when loading a mission 2. When killed your gun glitches 3. Gun not going on the rail 4. enemies are tooo acurate 5. Enemies are gone ( like neptune sphere it might sound bad but its really not
very fun game, can be lag a little tho.
Only Pavlov and Contractors have made this type of game fun for me and this is by most the most realistic experiences ive had, ive only played singleplayer so I can't comment on the multiplayer aspect of the game, the guns feel great and the environment is a solid 7/10, AI can be abit janky but imo they're on par with the AI from Onward. I can't say I have had any performance issues with all high settings but I am not on a lowend system, Currently the most realistic VR CQB sim in my opinion and well worth the price, 8/10
Geronimo is Operator in VR. It's an alright game atm, due to multiple bugs and poor optimisation, but that's to be expected of a game in Early Access. The customization however. The customization is amazing, you can customize pretty much anything, from clothing, equipment and weapons. Some of the customizations can be game-breaking. The only few things that annoy me, is the optimisation, the AI and the death animations. The AI is a bit "Run-into-every-noise", but again, the game is in Early Access. The optimisation is pretty poor, giving lag every 5-10 minutes from my own experience. Game's good, but has the potential to be great.
I'm giving this game a Thumbs Up. However I completely understand this game is very much so still being built. I also hate being that guy that gives a review after only an hour of playing. I'm only going to be talking about the Gun Play and Performance (SteamVR and Wireless Connection). Gun Play is probably the best I have seen on VR ever. I am able to build the gun and place attachments my way which is amazing(same with kit). I love the fact that the safety is a working function of the weapon. Also the fact that I can lock the bolt back on both rifles and pistols is dope. You can mag flip the gun physics are amazing aside from Bullet Physics (7.62x51 at 5 feet would deadline someone off 1 shot center mass) Now Performance I will be dead honest... I don't use a $5,000 set up, but my PC runs every game I play perfect from Gray Zone Warfare to Arma Reforger to Crimson Desert, etc. Combined with a Meta Quest 3 I shouldn't have issues where every time I make a sudden move the game freezes and saying the game is having connection issues I read reviews and played another VR game from my SteamVR Library before buying I didn't expect perfect but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I do truly believe in time this game can be one of the greatest VR Tactical Shooters, (better than Tactical Assault VR) JUST PLEASE DON'T ABANDON IT.
