Great story and fun characters to play as well as transform.
Someone gifted me this and told me i will understand women if i played it. I have more Questions now. But Perhaps he was right, Boys turning into girls left and right now. This game was a warning.
The writing is mostly terrible. I wouldn't have it any other way lmao
it a fun and great game ,it great fun for any trans folks to play though i''d not recommend to anybody younger than 13 years minimum do to certain situations in veracious scenarios and mild triggers bc coarse speech at times but if you have a strong will and aren't easily triggered then it'll be fun. plus cis folk that are ales and open minded can play this to bc i'd bout a small percent of these folks the stories are about are cis gendered folk who tun into cis opposite gender&sex some are reluctant other are happy some will always hate it other wile other adapt it up to you up t roughly 5 branches what you chose will determine the ending it could be are reasonable copying tool in some cases it might crack the door open to an otherwise closed minded individual that was even a tiny bit open minded in the first place can't guarantee if the super die hard old fashioned dye in the wool conservatives from like 1940 or back would be open it but it would be a good visual aide for the ones will to crack the door a tiny bit. like old hippies and flower children ones that was teens in the 70's and some other gen XERS Melilnials and gen z basically fun for all. well, that MY Hot And COLD Take at least i think it fun funny and awesome and cool max stars and thumbs up. I love it!
Gender Bender DNA Twister Extreme (GBDNATE) feels like a game of nots. This is NOT a Max Big Bust game (even if a few characters carry over to that series / universe). This is NOT a purely fetish game. This game is NOT trying to say anything about the experiences of being trans, or what that would be like. So what is this game? Put simply, it feels like a collection of short stories set around a world where due to a gas explosion, several employees end up as girls, and cascades into people being able to alter their DNA on a whim. The writing is overall good, but clunky in places and it does have some stuff in it that feels liek the author was sticking a bit too close to tropes, for better or worse. The stories past the initial explosion also have a bad job of establishing a timeframe of how long its been since - it took me until the conclusion to realize the final two chapters take place a few years after all the other ones. That said, the humor is decent, although I feel the writer was maybe upset at the artist towards the end. Speaking of... the art. Normally not top of mind for most VNs... this one has the look that someone did all the art in 2000s MS paint. I find it weirdly charming, but there are both backgrounds and character sprites which look off or cheap. Same can go for the CGs, some look fine enough but others have this unintentional off look to them. A lot of later chapters make repeated comments on some of the backgrounds and plot details... and I kind of don't blame them. The story itself is also structured weirdly. I know this game was in Early Access... but the issue is that these stories struggle to make sense if you play them out of story order, and they aren't listed clearly in story order aside from the final two chapters. Unless you know beforehand, it can get confusing FAST. I will say the stories in later routes is good (such as Zara, Dan, and Aleanne), but there are some that just feel off (Dina, Bri, Yael to an extent). In addition, characters just... kind of appear in the plot randomly (the final route girl doesn't show up until ending Pt. 1), and it feels like a villain was shoehorned in at the last moment for some climax they realized they desperatly needed. I got some of what the villain's motivation was, but it felt half-baked and given the villain does appear in earlier chapters I wish their reasons were shown to be a result of more than just what it ends up feeling like. ...So why am I giving this a positive review, despite everything? I truly, genuinely believe there is some gold in these hills. Yes, there is a lot going against it, and the writer has since moved on, and I doubt he will see this review. But genuinely... I hope Lach comes back to this one day, and this could be a great game. I think this game needs a remake, as I can't say my time with it was bad. Maybe polish up some things, give it an overhaul, and it could be a very interesting game. All I'm saying is to give this weird, twisty, freak of a game a chance (though I'd reccomend getting it on a sale).
This game is a great de-stresser. Whenever life is too much for me, I pop into Siren's Point and everything feels a little better. I enjoy the chill music and the bright town. One of the things I love the most is how the game's universe is surprisingly consistent between the different characters' stories. When you start a new character, you're building off what you learned about the town from the previous character. What I mean is, the things that happen in one characters' storyline will often be mentioned in-or even have a small effect on-another character's storyline. So it makes sense to play through each more than once to really appreciate the game's carefully constructed universe. Pay attention to the side characters too because many of them will appear later on when playing a different storyline and have their own mini dilemmas going on. I love the recurring dialogue about the unhealthy nachos at the Green Cat Cafe and the little easter eggs like how there's an Abadon vending machine at Dan's music studio. It seems the art gets a lot of criticism but I enjoy it, it has a warm and playful element to it. I don't care as much for the flawless and cold computer art of today's story games. And THANK YOU for not making this one of those stupid games where you have to spend real money to buy crystals and tools to level up the characters and all that in-game purchase garbage. My only complaint about this game is there's no sequel.
very fun and lots of different choices and endings
All the different scenarios are amazing to go back through and explore. It is great seeing how different actions have varying effects on the other characters, as well as the one you play as. Gender Bender is an absolute 10/10 game.
absolutely amazing game with amazing story for each character
love it
