I played through all of the characters story lines. Ironically, if this is what weirdos meant when they talked about teaching "Gender Studies for Kids" I think it'd work in a weird way. While being raunchy, it's also strangely wholesome like old episodes of Shining Times Station. (The creation of Thomas the Tank Engine). It doesn't take things too seriously. It's more like a blank canvas starter guide to launch your own personal weird fantasy off of, starting from the events in the game. I found the art style kind of cool. It's simplistic. But then again, 8 bit graphics in gaming is STILL super popular. So I guess this is kind of like that, but for a story, text only, type of game? Honestly, I think the Sequel "Max's Big Bust" tells a more complete and interesting story. HOWEVER, that is one long story of a single set of characters. Whereas, similar to the video, "Too Many Cooks" This kind of gives a over view of various experiences of every single person in town/ on this entire Island! LOL It's got supernatural transformations, demons, Magic, Werewolves, Merpeople, Octopus people. All kinds of interesting events. All of the various stories interact in interesting ways. Almost every single character has Multiple endings except for the final two characters, who's stories double as the final two part finale covering the events of what originally started when a gene splicing tech explodes and goes wrong. Honestly, I don't know if I'll ever do a full run of the entire game again. But I have, since bought the two sequels that followed it. And I think it's still pretty cool to see where the whole weird story began. It's not for everyone. And some might say the dialogue is bad. I won't judge. I think it's still a pretty cool story through and through. Either way, it's a single price, for what for me, was legit, over 20 hours of story and interesting characters. I say watch some youtube videos of people playing it first. Then choose for yourself.

The first entry in Lached Up Games' Axonverse series. The art is amateur-ish, which might be a plus if you're nostalgic about old DeviantArt. The writing is amusing enough. Several characters and concepts are introduced that will be important in later games of the series. Play if you're interested in learning more about Lori, Dani, Zara and Ryley.
