GENBA no Kizuna

2/10 This game claims to be 12-16 hours long, but with the amount of filler and unnecessary yapping which lead to 8 hours of gameplay and what thought to be evidence towards what's actually going on being thrown out the window.

I'm not finished yet but how in the world did Himatsu become a police officer, it feels like she only exists in the story to present theories which are obviously wrong so you have somebody to present evidence to and refute lol Kikai is very moe though (in an unhinged sort of way) so a+++ for that

This was a great game! I can't wait to see what comes next. Would really love another game starring Genba and the crew. I did enjoy Shinrai, but after a few initial hurdles, this clicked with me in a big way. The murder mystery in this one is paced a little better than Shinrai's I think. It gives you clues a bit more readily, and spaces out actual time for deduction rather than backloading it. Great job, can't wait for more!

Bit longer than its predecessor (not sure by how much since I had to take breaks during game due to irl reasons and left it on for while, but I'd say by hour or two still) and its been ages since I played Shinrai but I do feel like the writing has further improved with experience. Characters feel less archetypical than in Shinrai from what I remember, but still has same charm and its neat short mystery story. Plus I liked character dynamics, I want to ship them :p

Pretty good Ace Attorney-like game. Even if it's just one mystery to solve it's still meaty enough to keep you satisfied.

I'm comparing to first game, Shinrai. 14 hours in literally no action. Spookiness. So called sovl. One may say, a spark. The dialogues are superbly dragged out. I feel at ease, the opposite of what I came for. The ost is disgusting, half of the time I get shrieked on by dinos. The other piano stuff is mildly bad. 15 y/o girl protag had more testosterone than 20 smth mc from this game here. The cast: >cower mc >his quirky co-op cop -♥♥♥♥-lenient doc -bipolar femboy the photo shooter suspects >daddy with bird >Im coughin ughhhhhh >segz amazon from murica >I have cripplin anxiety There's 0 times I've laughed, felt scared, intrigued, curious. I come in and investigate and feel like I'm doing a job after coming from actual job. Everything feels laid out and the only challenge is to press enter x more times. Actual chore, I'm disappointed. Really excellent and deep story, even if it does drag a little here and there. Strongly recommended
