A nice little stylish adventure game with cute characters and environment. Nostalgia possibly played a role (the main character reminded me of Dizzy the egg) but there were also plenty of *magical* moments both when interacting with NPCs and the ones that just exist in the world and sometimes follow you for a while. A few things to mentions: -There are teleports and shortcuts in some places but could use a few more. Especially, if you want to go for full completion since some of the items can only be found by "wall hugging" type exploring - i.e. sometimes there are indicators for tunnels but not always. If you do that from the start then it may not be a big issue but if you decide to do that later on (e.g. not being able to proceed further) then you'll travel a bit more. -Also, a similar issue is that the game doesn't seem complete. Yes, the adventure ends, there is a conclusion and the 100% can be reached, but there are certain unused objects in the game that indicate that there is more. This has been confirmed by the developer in one of the discussion posts. Fortunately, there's a YouTube walkthrough that you can check if you missed something.
The charming quality in this game comes from each minor interaction with all of game's tiny inhabitants. There is something delightful in hopping along in puddles with frogs, sitting by a fire as little beetles roast marshmallows, or startling a star-gazing cloak-thingy as Gebub the slightly perplexed animated something-or-other waddles past. I spotted this game by coincidence soon after it's release, and I'm glad I did. The game is perhaps just slightly priced at more than it offers, even to those who are enticed by the soothing imagery and the saccharine, primordial sadness of misplaced childhood, which the game does so effectively deliver over a period of approximately two hours. Gebub's Adventure is an injection of emotions akin to rediscovering a forgotten teddy bear shoved to the back of a closet.

Gebub's Adventure is one of the most pleasant platformers I've ever played. Its a very easy platformer. It has no "fail state" as far as I can tell. Very happy I helped Kickstart it.
It took me a mostly pleasurable 2 hours to complete this game. It's a nonviolent 'puzzle' platformer with a peaceful soundtrack and simplistic art style. I would recommend it to almost anyone that enjoys platformers that doesn't want to prove just how great they are at making pixel perfect jumps and tricks. You just walk over colored orbs, pick up random stuff lying around, and give/place it in other locations. The reward for going above and beyond is just more scenery (and a chievo.) The only major gripe i have is that the game cannot go into fullscreen mode and there was no way to fix it as of this writing. My work-around was setting my monitor to its lowest resolution (800x600) and playing the game windowed there.
Lovely little game with a relaxing soundtrack! It has actually plenty of secrets, it's not as easy as it looks :)
This is a beautiful and very atmospheric game. The transitions in the map between areas are seamless and creative. I love the art style and the thought that went into this game and enjoyed playing it quite a bit. I'd recommend this game to anyone, especially anyone who enjoys Studio Ghibli films.
My favorite kind of game is the kind that drops you into a world and asks nothing of you, but provides riches when you explore. If you want, you can wander this grassy landscape and listen to lilting piano music for a while, then close the game and do something else with your life. Or you could bounce off of some flowers, take an elevator into a lava cave, deliver a pickaxe to a robot, save an imprisoned moonbird, and explore a mysterious factory in a mirror dimension. Gebub is cool with either one.
Small, relaxed, unassuming exploratory platformer with naïvistic art and wordless environmental storytelling. It's clearly indebted to an old freeware game Seiklus and as an old-time Seiklus-enjoyer I say this is a very positive thing. I had a good time strolling along Gebub's Adventure.
This is a wonderful little game. You're dropped into the world with no tutorial or explanation, and there's no need for one. You can't die, so you get to explore the corld, collecting orbs, unlocking secrets, and generally enjoying it all. It's short, but well worth it!
The soundtrack is excellent, a very nice simple game that doesn't put any effort in explaining the world. Tell the octopus I said thank you
