Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4/day in the week to Aug 14 → 33.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Before I get into it, let me clarify that this is my first time playing a Gears game. I wanted to play the original as a kid so bad, but never had a 360. This... Did not live up to the hype.. or the hype for GoW as a franchise. Is it buggy? Yeah. Very.. But it didn't ruin or even make my experience negative. I don't know how true this is the original, but I just found it pretty boring. It's not a bad game, it's just.. One of the third person shooters of all time. Not for me I guess. Combat? It's fine. Enemies don't react to being shot, they're a little spongy and most of the weapons don't have much punch or feedback. It's very competent, just nothing special. Although the reload mechanic is pretty cool. The gibs and gore would be cooler if bodies didn't just fall into chunks, but the original is pretty old, so eh - it's fine. Story? Fine. Pretty generic military dudebro stuff. If you've played any military shooter, OG CoD, etc.. you've seen it. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Characters? Probably the best part of the game and the part carrying the story - heavily. They're awesome, fun and I enjoyed having them around when the AI wasn't bugging out and leaving them in Narnia. Pacing? Awful. You spend almost as much time being forced into an idle animation to take a radio message or watching cutscenes are you do playing. It's after basically every room, checkpoint or arena the game stops you. Performance? Fantastic. Ran like greased lightning, PC barely got warm doing it. I appreciate the great optimization. Graphics? Looks great. I know they seem divisive - but as someone who never played the original, I liked them. If you played the original? I don't think there's anything here for you. If you never played a Gears game, this is probably a good intro. It's not for me though; I just think it's a very cookie-cutter 3rd person shooter. Maybe innovative for the time, but you've seen the same gameplay in 10 other games by now. It's the unseasoned chicken of games. Plenty of good quality meat, but no flavour.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I do recommend although only on sale. I liked the game for what it is and kept in mind all the 2006 novelty of it in certain aspects. I can't really compare the OG to this, so I don't care, For an relaxing action game to be played with a controller it's great, especially if you have a buddy to play with. Everything is fun in co-op and a game made especially for co-op with campaign double so. Buuuut, the controls are super clunky at times, the cover system not so great, the story, voice acting and characters - while getting big budget treatment, no question - are super cheesy and cringe and second hand embarassment from the overly manly men is a plenty. The game itself is fine, runs great, gets a little too long loading times for my liking and specs, but I definitely enjoyed it. One of the biggest advantages is it's simplicity and that it doesn't overstay it's welcome with about 9 hours playtime. It gets repetetive very fast and this really helps a lot
one of the most unintentionally funny gaming experiences i've had in a while
Decent remaster.
It was fun to relive the game again. I had a good time. Absolutely WILD you cannot couch co-op. High discount sale only.
I want to start by saying I purchased this game at 75% off for $12 cad and for that I believe the experience was worth it for me and my buddy who got to play through an old beloved childhood game. That being said, I still wouldn't recommend this game to most people, the fact that they didn't include split-screen co-op in a game that was SO popular in-part due to the ability to play on the couch with friends is enough to give it a thumbs down IMO. The thing is it's not only that they removed a beloved feature most likely for reasons of greed, but the game is also fairly buggy for a AAA title a full year after release. I will say over the course of an 8 hour playthrough the amount of bugs wasn't something that ruined our experience but we did have 2 crashes, and 3 or 4 times where one of us got stuck in level geometry and had to restart from a checkpoint, in total we probably lost around 30ish~ minutes of gameplay to bugs so not terrible but not great. Also strange bugs like Marcus grunting when Dom is doing things like turning wheels even if you're not doing anything as Marcus, AI also seemed worse than I remember both for enemies and allies but that could just be my old brain since I haven't played OG Gears since 2016. Those are the big issues so if you're going to buy this game just go in knowing it's far from perfect and since it's in this state a full year after release I doubt it ever will be but if you have nostalgia goggles on like me it's at least worth the $12 bucks I spent on it 👍
A little glitchy but a solid trip down memory lane. 8/10
So finally completed after a while. Originally tried on 360 back in the day and got to act 4 and didnt play this again. Firstly, get it on sale. As much as the story is amazing the gameplay is bit dated along with the mechanics like running and hiding in cover. The NPCs is the most annoying thing. After defeating the final boss i had enough of dom and everyones npc. For example if im hiding behind cover and shooting at something the npcs would run into them and die continuously. Its quite annoying. All that being said i would play it on sale
