A story buried under poison and silence.
In 1977, during communist rule, mining operations poisoned an entire valley. Toxic water was released without warning, swallowing homes overnight. Families fled or vanished, and a once-thriving village was drowned beneath a lake of waste.
Twenty years later, Moloce Arcip, a former journalist desperate for redemption, hears a radio report about a forgotten village, and sees one last chance to rebuild his career and uncover a story the world tried to erase.
Armed only with your camera and a notebook, you set out to document the traces of what remains. Silence rules the empty streets. A few locals remain, clinging to their homes despite the danger. The spire of the church still juts from the toxic lake, a lonely monument to everything that was lost.
Inspired by true events. Step into a story buried for 20 years.

Atmospheric, multiple endings, and never had so much fun driving recklessly or stealing wine from villagers.
This game is super atmospheric and intense, with multiple endings, based on a real tragedy that makes the story hit even harder. Some parts drag a bit and there are a few bugs, but overall it’s a really interesting horror game. 8/10
Not a bad game! Simple, goofy jumpscares, and an interesting story. Unfortunately I didn't see the AI disclosure beforehand, so not a fan of that.
best horror game <3
The game looked different in the trailer. More hints should be added. At the shepherd’s house you can drink wine through the window. The VHS/CRT filter is overdone.
One of the only horror games i have ever played, so not many comparison options, but i found the concept really interesting, especially as an eastern european who loves history, and i loved the attention to detail such as actual radio stations, being able to pet the dog and pooping sounds when the lumberjack was in the toilet. The game also made me scream quite a lot and startled me without having any actual jumpscares, which i find to be one of the most valuable aspects in a horror game. I also loved that you get to explore everything by yourself and i ABSOLUTELY LOVED that i got to write a report afterwards. Might have been one of my favorite parts. I had high expectations as ive had this game in my wishlist for a looong time before actual release and it did NOT dissapoint. I absolutely ADORED this game. GLORY TO ROMANIA!!!
Game is so unbelievably tedious. Drive for a bit -> meet person -> do favour for person to acquire information -> person fights you on why you want the information -> repeat.
A short game where you drive around a toxic lake as a journalist, complete small tasks for remaining villagers, and write your own article at the end. The titular village is the place you visit in this game, taking on the role of a journalist. Your goal is to uncover what happened after mining operations created a toxic lake that forced most residents to leave, turning the area into a ghost town. Some people, however, chose to stay behind, and it is their story you hope to share with the world. At the same time, you are trying to repair your damaged reputation, which suffered after you pursued too many conspiracy-driven stories. One of the game’s defining features is the ability to drive a car. The driving physics are solid, the radio offers five stations that play music and occasionally air talk shows, and crashes at high speed will be fatal. If you die, you return to the last checkpoint, but they are frequent enough that you rarely lose much progress. You are free to drive both on and off the road, though exploration is somewhat limited. There is only one road circling the lake, with a short stretch near the end that splits into one safe path and a broken bridge. A map shows your next objective along with a few markers highlighting key locations along the route. You can also check your current task in your notepad, review journal entries, or write your own notes. While you can focus solely on main objectives, there are several points of interest scattered along the road. These often include abandoned houses you can break into or residents willing to share more about the lake and the village, sometimes after you complete a task for them. You can exit your car at any time to explore on foot, but you quickly learn there’s not much to see. A helpful feature is that the car automatically stops when you reach an objective point, ensuring you do not accidentally drive past it. You also carry a camera to take photos for your article, though it feels more like a neglected feature since it is required for only one objective. The game is relatively short and largely uneventful. Most of your time is spent driving and completing minor tasks. The only significant moments come from the sudden appearances of a character who behaves strangely and is ultimately revealed to be responsible for the events that devastated the village. There are three endings, although two are nearly identical, differing only slightly based on a choice made during one objective. One of the more interesting elements appears after reaching the first of the three endings. You are given the opportunity to write the final article yourself, which is then graded with a star rating. You can include photos you took during the game, though they do not affect the score and can even be identical. What truly matters are the keywords you include, which can be found in a walkthrough.
Loved the game. The atmosphere along with the uncanny villagers make for a great scary game, especially with the lake near at all times, bringing the already sombre mood into something more dark. A must play for Halloween.
i shxt myself where the dog random runs at you
