Garbage Growth
All kudos to this indie dev! Saw this game from my favourite incremental games YouTuber, DangerouslyFunny. The game hooked me in five minutes. The game was super satisfying to watch, so I ran over to my laptop and bought the game.
Gameplay Mechanics
The developers have crafted a well-executed difficulty curve. The game is short, but I'm excited to see what the owner will do about it.
Visuals and art
I like me some pixel-style games. Well done, Art, everything fits together nicely.
Sound effects
Amazing sound effects. It's the best one I have heard in such a game.
Performance
It's a small game that works fine on a toaster.
Value to price
Worth every cent.
Final Rating
Garbage Growth is a well-executed incremental game. It's a short game at the moment, but that will change in the future when the updates roll out. I recommend the game!!
Short in its current state, straightforward, but progression ramps quick. Doesn't feel slow, pacing is well done in that regard. There ends up being a lot of stuff happening on the screen, with options to reduce screen clutter. I did encounter some lag towards the end of the game, but unsure if that's a proton issue since turning all screen clutter off didn't stop it. Only ended up being a couple minutes of it before credits rolled so not the end of the world. I'm excited to see what future updates add to the game.
