Follow Far2close - Visual Novel Playthroughs Curator Page Game of Love Developer: Golden Castle Studio Publisher: Golden Castle Studio Pros: 1. The store page says its realistic and well, it pretty much is. It has happened in reality and has potential to happen again. To summarize the plot, Alice is the protagonist and is a normal girl aside from being a part of the volleyball team. The popular guy Raphael starts to talking to Alice and things eventually go on a series of events from walking Alice home to a more affectionate actions such as kissing. When this starts happening, Alice receives a barrage of threats that get worse over time and she'll have to start getting to the bottom of things if she wants to make it stop. The story is relative and is a good showing of what happens when an average girl starts becoming the center of attention. Aside from threats and bullying, there is also the aspect of whether or not that power gets to her head and whether her pride will enable her to amend things in the end. 2. The characters all have something going on. They all have their anxieties, problems, victories, and most important of all; secrets. This is a very big part of the story too, as it dwells on secrecy and deception. The mere thought of your best friend or the entire volleyball team betraying you, is definitely the sole subject of the entire bullying portion and it works for the best of it. Alice's attitude also plays in favor of the story, as it's handled as both a positive and negative factor depending on the other characters. After when things have been answered, you can see that some of their motives make sense,
Raphael makes sense but Margaret's execution of her plan may be a bit too far fetched for something so small and petty.
Neutrals: 1. Alice (main character) can get extraordinarily annoying most of the time, it works for the direction the plot goes, but just letting you know it can be a bit overbearing. Cons: 1. I understand the choices bring different dialogue and that this is a kinetic novel, but I believe it would've benefit without it. It feels like the choices would DO something because of how different they are, such as when Sam comes in the cafeteria looking for us and we are given the options of "A: Don't ignore her!" or "B: I hope she doesn't see me", but in the end we just ignore her anyways. It's like a false hope to change something. 2. The ending for this is a little ironic, as it doesn't feel like a truly happy ending.
Emily's part didn't feel justified as it was mostly Alice's fault for jumping to conclusion and blaming Emily, even when Emily was being truthful most of the way. Alice doesn't think her relationship with Emily could ever be the same, but it is the least impacted one, so a heart to heart talk could have potential to at least repair some bad blood.
Alice is supposed to have some character development after these events, but she just doesn't have any positive development.
She apologizes to the volleyball team, sure, but after that she doesn't show any difference to how she was during the events of the threats and bullying.
There is not a proper outlook of anything that has happened.
In fact, it is like Margaret actually won as she proved her point.
3. The art is fine, it does its job, but it does look a little low resolution that it stands out a bit due to this. 4. The sounds used are royalty free, which is absolutely fine; but there could be some more variation with the music or cutback on the use of crowds of people talking as it felt a tad bit overused. 5. There are several misspellings. Conclusion: Attempting to portray a realistic setting of high school traumas, it gets the characters and overall display right. However, as it is a kinetic novel and the choices bring different dialogue, it does feel like it brings a false ability to change outcomes, along with wonky character development later on that makes the ending give the feeling that it wasn't deserved for both Alice and other characters. Score: 5/10 NOT RECOMMENDED
Kinetic novel. There are choices, but they don’t seem to change the story much. They do, however, unlock different achievements. Decent for what it is.
Didn't like the ambient noises felt off Story not great
it is really cute so far, it story based so you can pick what happens the music is nice too
c'est mal écrit et le le personnage principal qu'on incarne est insupportable.
A really good story and visual for a small amount of money, thx devs for a good experience.
I'm sorry but... this game left me more frustrated than satisfied. I understand that the main character wasn't going to be a perfect female lead, but she was VERY FAR from being an ideal protagonist. I was actually convinced that I was playing the antagonist, because of how terrible Alice's personality is and how quick she is to turn on her friends. Also, most of the decisions did not actually made any kind of impact to the story and it did not feel like my choices had any real weight to them. As much as I did not like the story or the characters, I can at least give the game credit for the art - it was cute.
A boring story about meaningless teenaged drama. At least the characters of the story are true to how petty, temperamental, and just plain awful real teenagers are, for good and, mostly, for ill.
un livre faussement inter actif mais dont l'intrigue juvenile est raffraichissante
