This software is great. There is 1 bug I've found that crashes the program but it's a rare thing that is outshined by the overall usefulness of this program. Easy to use and very forgiving. It seems to keep unsaved files for a very, very long time. That has saved me on more than one occasion. It's not as powerful as big name programs but it's solid and I use it for at least 80% of my pixel art and editing. Very thankful to whoever made this.
Not only can you continue to add and expand on existing character templates, but your own templates too!
If you are going to spend ANY time working with RPG Maker (rmxp,vx,vx ace, MV,MZ)... for the price, this essential add-on is a no=brainer. Any list of reasons not to attain this are outweighed by reasons to have it. If you are building a simple graphical 2D rpg world and plan to introduce NPC's numbering on the plentiful side vs standard: This item becomes the ultimate crucial relic that could peel hours if not days off your workload. NOTE: Never pay attention to "hours played" on any of my stuff. I leave my stuff going even when I am away from home. Its unethical and wasteful. I know me enough to know that doesn't make a difference for me (not an angel, but I think I am a decent and fair critic). 5 stars! Of course any such app "could always be bigger"... but as it is, the variants are massive enough to win 5 star rating considering it's affordable pricing. Just now returning to it after a long break but I believe the ability to plug more graphics into it is easy making it unlimited in value. A crafty deviant could probably even apply innovative thinking to use it's interface to mass produce other images usable outside of charactor design. (Think: small pixelart multilayer, interchangeable, visual database) User friendly. Quick to learn. Fun-factor is high, right out of its invisable virtual box. RPG Maker MUST HAVE ADD-ON.
It's frustrating, missing a lot that I'm used to in art programs. It's not as smooth to move around the canvas and gui as most other art programs. I cannot get the animation preview to work correctly, I can't import the sprites I've already made. It's main features work as more of a character generator, not an art program. It's far simpler to just edit my sprites in another program then save and see the animation in game. I wanted a refund but unfortunately I spent over two hours in it. EDIT: Two amazing >>>FREE<<< pixel art programs for those who are considering this horrid scam of a program to try instead. Pixelorama - All the features you could ever need and more! Made in Godot. LibreSprite - Free version of Aseprite with some of its own features! Very nice as well!!
I bought this when it came out and the only feature that's kind of worth it for me is the animated preview. A complete waste of money, just use GIMP or something else.
BLING! BLEEP! BLING! PLING! otherwise pretty good.
This is a great character maker and I made plenty of sprite for my games with this, it's easy and fun and it has layers. Overall if you use RPG Maker or any of the maker series this is for you!
Leve e customizável, fácil de mexer!
