A silly yet unique and quite technical hack and slash game with a lot more than meets the eye. Don't let the amateurish looks fool you, the game is actually pretty competent hack and slash title with surprising amount of depth thanks to the game's many many mechanics to play with. It encapsulates the satisfaction of mastering the learning curve of character action games with it's own unique flair.
The gameplay works around a cycle, where you switch between a pitcher; turning the game into a shooter, and then batter; which turns the game into a hack and slash. The shooting aspect of this game is extremely lacking compared to the batting aspect where the game really shines with tons of slaying and bullet deflecting (because it's baseball) to do. The satisfaction comes from being able to time your attacks to score combos of kills and deflects to kill hordes of enemies.
And in typical action game fashion you upgrade your character and unlock special moves, and allows you to break the game wide open with loads of options, such as being able to actually throw a baseball on your own, and also hit them for more damage, allowing for some quick work of fights. The sky is the limit, and to be able to execute bunch of tricks to beat the levels in a quick fashion is satisfying.
