Galaxy Champions TV

good

There's a great game here but the devs didn't finish it. Not enough content, can't see what's going on when things get busy, and the second planet is even worse, it's too often I'm hit by something without any indication as to what hit me, making it too tedious to "git gud", there's no indication what "champions" does, and the tiny bit of RNG does not add enough variation to make the game fun to play for more than about 5-10 minutes. Not bad for $6 but can't recommend it. Also they claim it's a TV show of brutality, but if you played SmashTV you know this does not have the same kind of brutality that SmashTV does, where you're a human on a gameshow killing other humans, Galaxy Champions TV is too safe to be thematically intriguing.

A very fast twinstick shooter! The weapons feel incredibly powerful, but the enemies spawn in huge hordes, so you never feel completely in control. Occasionally, the screen gets so full of bullets, enemies, mines, power-ups, etc. that you get hit and don't feel like you deserved it. I like the upgrade system where you choose between several upgrades that either upgrade your weapons, have some passive effect (greater run speed, attract pick-ups), or allow you to spawn new pick-ups like drones, bombs, shields, or slow motion. Sometimes the controls feel a little sloppy. Instead of 8-way moving and firing, it's more like 360-way, and it can seem imprecise.

Not my king of game

An incredible arcadey twin-stick shooter, drawing influence from Super Smash TV. It's fast, upgrades are randomized so you are forced to just work with what you've got in terms of creating builds, which makes interesting games every time. I also have to say that it is a bold choice to NOT have "meta game" progression, like unlocks that improve future runs. This is relied on as a crutch by too many games, and just makes the runs a lot more grindy. Not the case here. Everything is "unlocked" from the beginning, though it might take you many runs to actually find every upgrade. What this does is forces you, the player, to GIT GUD. You will not automatically progress just by throwing tons of hours at the game (which IS true for any game that has "meta game" progression). You really have to just improve your own skill in order to get farther. There's a simple tech tree, though it's not expressed as such. You do need machine gun upgrade 1 before you can get machine gun upgrade 2, etc. Addictive!

Okay, a Cheap Top down Arena Survival Shooter, it's simple, good control, you can use up , down, left, right button to shoot or using mouse, tons of upgrades, a few weapons , some utilities upgrade And... I din't see this coming, this game does not Feature Achievements... meaning that all your hardwork on the achievements will not be counted towards your Wall of Fame .... but then, this is the very 1st time i go against my rules.... Since the game is so cheap after discount... and having fun while playing, i decided to not Refund it... It's fun, just no achievements counted n perfect game Oh, i almost forget this, the Way every weapon shoots are Awesome, especially the Shotgun, you can feel the clicks
