Galacticon

This game blends gameplay from two of my favorite classic arcade games: Defender and Joust. If you like those two games, and are interested in a mashup of the two, plus some bonus levels and global leaderboards (by year, not just forever scores), this is well worth checking out. Oh, and the price is right, even if it's not on sale. Am hoping to see many more modern game mashups like this. I see them now and again and they demand replays. Our gaming group is score chasing this one at the time this review was written and seeing some good scores come in. This plays good on the Deck, but even better with arcade controls, for those who can play it that way.

Juego clasico a lo Williams Electronics como Joust y Defender. Muy Arcade y desafiante.

Bien logrado y buena ambientación.

El arcade retro más arcade retro de todos los arcades retro desde 1980. Cuando lo arrancas es como volver a estar en unos recre de los 80, la ambientación que le da los efectos de sonido y los gráficos es sublime. Y encima con una jugabilidad adictiva. Recomendado.

Galacticon feels like it was made in 1982, and I say that as a huge compliment. Defender+Jetpac makes for a fantastic game.

This game is amazing. Great old school arcade graphics. Love the sound effects & soundtrack. This is a game I'm definitely glad I discovered.

¡Vuelven los arcades! Galacticon es un clásico recién creado, con un control muy satisfactorio y totalmente cuidado al pixel. Sin duda recomendado para los amantes de los arcades!!

Un poco de Defender, un poco de Joust, un poco de Jet Pac, un mucho de diversión y nostalgia bien entendida! Juego retro arcade que homenajea a las máquinas recreativas de los primeros 80 con maestría. Han sabido recoger la mejor esencia de la época, mimando el sonido y los gráficos y entregando una experiencia nueva aunque muy reconocible, adicción, dificultad medida para ser desafiante si quieres llegar lejos pero asequible si solo buscas diversión inmediata. Recomendadísimo para amantes del arcade, hayan vivido aquella época o no. Te paso el nivel?

Simply amazing. As I get older, time available to gaming lessens and I am always on the hunt for new games that are really considerate of the gamer's free-time. For anyone craving a game where you can just sit down and play, this is for you and definitely worth the money.
