2 is still goat but this is the next best thing. all the stuff added to 4 compared to 2 is awesome. 3 sorta failed at that part.
Viele Optionen - fast zu viele. Raumschiffe konstruieren nach eigenem Geschmack möglich. Tolle Grafik. Raumschlachten ansehen möglich. Keine anstrengende Live-Action.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Nice game if you could play it multiplayer. 2 years after release and we did not make it past turn 10 once without any crash. Don´t buy it if you want to play only with friends...
The interface is crap and the AI is cheating. Killing any fun.
I Like it
This game...this game is an astounding piece of art in digital format. I cannot describe the feeling of immersion that you get once everything "clicks" while learning the game. The interface is elegant yet simple. It allows for an intuitive...flow, of multiple levels of base building and assent management screens. I love GalCiv2, moreso than GalCiv3 (even though that one is great as well!), but Galactic Civilizations 4! It takes the best of both 2 and 3 (never played GalCiv1) and blends and advances the recipe and blends in new and amazing ideas. I could go on and on about the nuances of what makes this game great, but nobody wants to read a wall of text. Just get this game! You will be a happy person and wont regret it! Or maybe you will, I dunno, but I doubt it. This game rawks!
This is not an overly negative review of the current state of the game as there's a lot of things I do enjoy playing around in this 4X game similar to two others I've played. But in any case I do have one major issue with this game as of now and that is the galaxy generation when starting a new game...it's way too random in what I ultimately want in my games... I'm a fan of small and fast style of games on relatively equal footing for all players (Including AI since I normally play alone or do testing), as such I normally have tiny galaxy size (Very important to me as it gives my laptop less burden to load and play everything), with a few sectors...which both of these settings causes a lot of problems due to the randomness nature of the galaxy generation... Basically I always want a 3-sector galaxy map setting for 3 players to play on in a triangle slipstream connection (But 3-in-a-line is fine too, though it does create the "monkey in the middle" burden on the middle player that they ended up getting bullied a lot), but I rarely ever get that kind of map(s) as many times it would either do 2-sectors or even one massive sector most of the times...I feel like I only get what I really want only like 20% or less of the time... Putting the galaxy size to small doesn't help either as it'll always spawn an extra 4th empty sector that I naturally don't want in addition to put even more unnecessary burden on my CPU's memory and cores. Hopefully in a next major future update, there's a more "static" and customizable galaxy map creation setting that allows how many sectors to want, how big you want them (As I have a few games whose sectors were extremely too big for one to managing on their own), and however a formation you want them to be on with the connecting slipstreams (If possible, the former two things above are more important). So far there hasn't been any mods that either fixes or make this a thing, so hopefully something comes out either official or modded. Until this is properly implemented, I'll sadly have to put this as a negative review...for now at least...
