Bom jogo

Very fun, loved the music and the vibes. Somehow managed to beat Furi but having a hard time with Furier lol, I'm bad at this kind of games.
Furi Demake – The Chain is a compact retro-style action game developed by Sylph in collaboration with The Game Bakers, serving as a creative reinterpretation of one of the most memorable boss encounters from the original action game Furi. Rather than simply porting the experience into another format, the developers approached the project as a “demake,” redesigning the modern boss fight as if it had originally been created for an 8-bit era console. The result is a short but intense action experience that blends classic arcade sensibilities with the core combat ideas that made the original Furi so distinctive. The concept behind the game is focused on recreating the confrontation with The Chain, the first major guardian from the original title. In Furi, players face a series of powerful adversaries in isolated duels that test reflexes, timing, and mastery of both melee and ranged combat. Furi Demake – The Chain distills that concept down to a single battle and rebuilds it within a side-scrolling 2D format inspired by classic platforming and arcade shooters. Instead of the original game’s 3D arenas and bullet-hell style perspective, this reinterpretation places players in a retro battlefield where the same dramatic duel unfolds through pixel art visuals and simplified mechanics. Gameplay revolves entirely around mastering this boss encounter. Players control the protagonist as he confronts The Chain within a compact arena filled with hazards and projectile attacks. The fight blends several mechanics that must be balanced carefully in order to survive. Players can strike with a sword during close combat, fire projectiles at a distance, dash to evade incoming attacks, and jump to avoid certain hazards. Although the control scheme is simple, the difficulty arises from the precision required to respond correctly to each of the boss’s attacks. Every move from The Chain creates a pattern that players must quickly learn to read and counter. The boss itself is designed to be relentless. Throughout the encounter, The Chain cycles through multiple attack phases that escalate in intensity as the battle progresses. Projectile patterns fill the screen while powerful melee strikes force the player to react quickly. Success comes not from brute force but from recognizing the boss’s behavior and exploiting brief moments when the guardian becomes vulnerable. The structure of the battle encourages repeated attempts, gradually rewarding players as they improve their timing and awareness. One of the most impressive aspects of the demake is how effectively it adapts the original mechanics to the retro format. The original Furi relied heavily on bullet-hell style shooting mixed with close-range sword combat. In the demake, these ideas are translated into a format that feels authentic to classic arcade games. Projectiles follow recognizable patterns reminiscent of old-school shooters, while melee combat is integrated through carefully timed strikes that require players to move close to the boss at just the right moment. This blend of ranged and close-quarters combat keeps the battle dynamic and constantly engaging. Despite being centered on a single fight, the game manages to maintain strong replay value through its difficulty design. Completing the encounter once is only the beginning, as the game encourages players to improve their performance and master every detail of the battle. Harder difficulty modes, such as the Furier mode, push the challenge significantly further by increasing attack speed and reducing the margin for error. For players who enjoy testing their reflexes and perfecting difficult encounters, this structure offers a satisfying loop of improvement and mastery. Visually, Furi Demake – The Chain embraces a classic pixel art aesthetic that pays tribute to the early era of console gaming. Characters and environments are rendered with bright colors, simple shapes, and expressive animations that capture the spirit of retro action games. The Chain itself appears as an imposing mechanical guardian whose exaggerated design and dramatic attack animations make the fight visually memorable despite the limited graphical style. The pixel art successfully recreates the intensity of the original boss while presenting it in a nostalgic format that feels both familiar and fresh. The soundtrack also plays a major role in shaping the atmosphere of the encounter. The music uses energetic chiptune elements combined with electronic rhythms that echo the pulse-pounding style of the original Furi soundtrack. As the battle intensifies, the music builds tension and reinforces the rhythm of the fight, creating a sense of urgency that pushes players to stay focused. Sound effects for sword strikes, projectiles, and impacts are crisp and satisfying, giving clear feedback during the fast-paced action. Because the game is built around a single boss encounter, its scope is intentionally limited. A full playthrough can be completed in a relatively short amount of time once players understand the mechanics of the fight. This compact structure may feel underwhelming to players expecting a longer campaign with multiple levels or enemies. However, the demake is not intended to function as a full standalone adventure. Instead, it operates as a focused challenge and a tribute to the original Furi, demonstrating how the same encounter could exist within a completely different era of game design. What makes the project particularly interesting is its role as both a homage and an experiment. By transforming a modern action game encounter into a retro-style format, the developers highlight how strong gameplay design can transcend technological limitations. The duel between the player and The Chain retains its intensity even when reduced to pixel art and simplified mechanics, proving that the core concept of the battle remains compelling regardless of presentation. Ultimately, Furi Demake – The Chain succeeds as a stylish and concentrated action experience that celebrates both the legacy of classic arcade games and the design of the original Furi. While its brief length prevents it from offering the depth of a full action title, the quality of its central encounter makes it an enjoyable challenge for players who appreciate skill-based combat and retro aesthetics. It stands as a creative reinterpretation that captures the spirit of its source material while presenting it through the lens of nostalgic game design. Rating: 8/10
